Timings for the morning - hair etc.

MrsBeckiW, 4 February, 2014 at 12:03 Posted on Planning 0 4

A local hair dressers that I have used since I was young have agreed to travel to me to do the hair for my wedding.

I get the impression that brides normally go to them and I'm not sure of the timings that they have suggested.

I get married at 4 and they want to start at 11. They say I should plan to be done by 3 because something will either over run or there will be time for pictures. That still leaves them 4 hours?

They are doing

2 x blow dry and style (MOB & BM have short hair)

1 x bridesmaid up do

1 x 5 yr old flower girl

1 x my fabulous hair

My MUA will obviously be there at the same time making everyone look beautiful.

Does that sounds about right to everyone?

I've not done the timings for my day as yet but working it out that give them just under 50 minutes per person without them having any breaks. I don't think it seems that over the top to be honest.

Sounds to me that they know what they are doing and are experienced in weddings. Looks good.

So many times I have seen the hair and make up over run, which sometimes has lead to the wedding car only having time to take the Bride and not do the two trips that had been planned.

    Ok that's good.

It's not that I don't trust them - it's just they kept asking me if it was ok and I didn't know the answer Smiley smile

I would agree they defiantly sound like they know there routines as that's defiantly leaving plenty of time and if all going well you might find ye are running ahead of time which is good as you might need the time for somewhere else, as also you don't want to be starting hair too early incase it looks a bit untidy by the wedding. Axx
