Well our time together is almost up and I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have writting it. I mean that seriously actually I loved my wedding (I would do) and have had a great time thinking about it. So the final bit.. here goes.
After the meal had finished we moved back into the bar and waited for our evening guests to arrive. Bless them they had all hired a minibus taxi to travel for an hour to celebrate with me which just blew me away. Once they arrived slightly merry from their alcohol fulled journey it was time for the first dance. So we walked back through the courtard and back into the ceremony room which by now had been transformed into disco central. The first film we ever watched together was Moulin Rouge and so our first dance was to 'Your Song'. As we walked into the room there were loads of people standing round the edge of the dancefloor making it look rather large and daunting. But into the middle we walked and started to dance. I would love to be able to say that we waltzed gracefully across the dancefloor looking as though we were floating, but I cant! This was probably mainly my fault and my love for my dress. I shall explain. I loved it. Nothing more to say really, but because of that love i didnt want to bunch it up at the back and turn my lovely swishing train into a bustle, so I didnt. This in turn meant that i couldnt dance properly so my beloved husband being the ever resourceful bloke he is stopped down picked up my train and then very daintily (not) shoved it between me and him so that we could move more freely. Genius!!
Once we got into it the dance wasnt as bad as I had imagined having 75 people watching my every move for 5 minutes would be. After the music finished the DJ put on a really upbeat loud song and everyone was on the dancefloor jumping around and singing their hearts out. Another one of my favourite parts of the day was just looking around and seeing everyone smile, jumping around like mad things and generally having a good time. To me it was what the whole day had been about, bringing together the people that i love and having a great time with them.
And that is basically it. My wedding day in seven long parts. Not really much else to tell. We had a buffet served which was great, danced like prats, drank too much and then went to bed. I started out part one saying that it all felt like a dream and it still does. I can obviously remember the day and lots of the little details but thinking of it as a whole still feels as though I am imagining what I want my day to be like rather than what it was actualy like.
I just want to finsh by saying to everyone who is planning their wedding trust your instincts, listen to no one who tells you that what you are doing is wrong or that you need to do it such and such a way because so and so did it that way. Our day was perfect for us becuase it was us. There was no one there we didnt want, our meal was what we liked and sod what other people thought about it there was a buffet in a couple of hours and the bar served nuts if they were really that hungry, our budget was tight and yet we still had an amazing day. So here is to all of you and your days that are yet to be, may you have as great a day as we did. I will leave you with a couple of photos that I couldnt fit in through the report. The End (thank the Lord) xx
Thank you and good night xx
