Tis the season to be jolly - NOT

Croyde, 23 December, 2008 at 09:00 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

I am the grumpiest cow in the world today - I was struggling to feel festive anyway and now to top it off I have this horrid cold/cough lurgy that is going round and I feel like death warmed up, haven't slept properly for the last 2 days and the prospect of having to eat xmas dinner at my mothers is making me feel green.

I am gutted.

Was due to go the canterbury cathedral tomorrow for the carol service too

I challenge you for the grunpiest cow title. I was so excited for this christmas for no reason whatsoever and now the christmas spirit has run out. Im snappy and grumpy and feel like shite. I thought I was finished but have forgot to get my dad a present so that means shoveling through piles of people to find a pair of socks for him... hummph. I also have four over excited children that Im trying to keep control of and entertain.

And my mother has invited herself for christmas dinner??

I'm grumpy too. Financial nightmare for me right now and I dont feel christmassy at all. I'm going through the motions, but don't feel good about it. Have yet to get the "christmassy" feeling

I'm grumpy too! Our families, who were invited over on Boxing Day, have now spread themselves over 3 days, meaning we need to keep the house spotless (assuming we can get it clean before then anyway!). My brother, who I haven't seen for 2.5 years, who hasn't lived in this country for 11 years and who I don't particularly like is arriving with all my side of the family, and the grapevine says he's wanting to stay over. Joy. I know that may sound mean, but I don't know him any more, and the last time I did, he wasn't a very nice person.

On top of which, H has suddenly stopped clearing up after himself, so I'm having to do that before I can get started on the proper cleaning. He says he's too busy to take time off so I just have to do everything. Humph!

I used to love Christmas, I'm really sad I'm not enjoying the run up this year.
