Lol, OMG, no pressure on any boyfriends they might (?!) get then?!!

And imagine how they will feel if it gets close to the day and they don't have anyone?

    It's quite sad really.

When I realised that my fiance was "the one" I did start having a sneaky look at possible dresses. I mean what girl hasn't looked on the internet, but these women are ridiculous. And the most telling thing was the girl who said: "To me, it’s more important to find the right dress than the right man."

That says it all really. While I want a lovely lovely day, the thing about getting married for me is to spend the rest of my life my husband who I love more than anything. The day will be wonderful, and I love my dress but the most important thing is our lives after.

Makes me feel a bit sick and a bit sorry for these silly silly girls.

    Rant over!

TBH, I agree with what the bloke has to say! I am lost for words with the ladies who've organised their weddings...

I was once friends with someone who had done this. She negotiated her engagement (I'll stay in country x with you for another 12 months but only if I get a one carat diamond ring etc). One week after they had settled the negotiations (or engagement as she referred to it...) she announced she had the date. venue booked, dressed picked and honeymoon planned. I said I was surprised it could be done so quickly - she then admitted she'd booked them all some time ago. She wasn't going to tell her partner she'd done the booking, so she was announcing one booking a month to him...

She was a freak in a number of ways and our friendship only just made it through to the wedding and broke down immediately after.
