To facial or not to facial?

MrsWinwood2B, 16 February, 2010 at 16:48 Posted on Planning 0 4

Now that the 6 week mark is coming up on Saturday....eeek!.... I'm starting to think about grooming for the big day. I've never had a facial in my life, but my skin is looking a bit tired, and dry in places. I used to have bad breakouts before I went on the pill, but now my skin is pretty much clear, apart from a few dry patches, which I moisturise. I wonder if a facial would give me a real lift, or if it's going to cause more problems than its worth? Any advice ladies?

If you had 6 months i would say go for it (i'm thinking about it now), but 6 weeks... it may make it worse. I'd keep on moisturising and stay clear of the facial.

I would definately stay away from a facial if you havent ever had one.

The stimulation on your face may cause a break out... Just moisturise loads with a good water based moisturiser and drink plenty of water and your skin will be glowing!!

I agree with the others and give it a miss, you don't want a rash moments away from your big day!!

You could always just have a detox which would probably show alot better in your complexion?

Avoid/cut right down on sugar, fat, caffeine, processed foods increase low GI fruits and vegetables, good fats IE avocado nuts, boiled and/or cool water with ice/lemon etc. moisturise regularly and have bowls of water near radiators etc...

you will deffo notice a difference in your complexion

I would have to agree, even thought it's tempting I wouldn't do anything too different with your skin care routine or have any facials this close to your wedding.

Continue cleansing well and moisturising, drink loads and loads of water and eat plenty of fruit, veg, nuts and seeds. Brazil nuts are supposed to be very good for your skin.
