To the OM's or anyone else for that matter?

Who did you get to lace up the back of your dress and was it as tight as the dress shop can do it? When the lady laced me up it felt secure in all the right places, but when my sister did it, it wasnt as tight and im worried it wont be right on the day. Fill me with some hope? ?

The dress lady is coming to my house on the morning to dress me - im only 20mins from the shop.

Its FOC but i'll get her a present -after all shes missing a saturday appointment for me!

If your dress shop is close to where your getting ready it mite be worth asking?

Its taken a big worry away from the morning for me - my dress is huge!

My Mum did and we had a practice run first! Luckily she'd previously done my sisters so was good at it! It felt very secure and I didn't need to pull it up at all - even after the bouncy castle! ?

Take whoever is doing ti to the dress shop and get them to show her how. Then practice!

My 2 bridesmaids did mine. Well, it started off with 2 but then 1 got bored I think and left the other one to it! ?

It was rather comicile but they got there in the end. It was very tight and secure. I just kept saying "tighter please" until I was happy.

    Didn't have any practices.

The lady in my dress shop suggested that whoever does up the dress corset wears little white gloves (I think you can get them in cleaning shops, like little old ladies used to wear) to make sure BM/Mum's nail polish doesnt chip/ get on the dress whilst fastening it.

Slightly OT, but I thought I would share the tip, as my Mum's bought plenty of white gloves for helping with my dress on the day.

When I bought my (sample) dress, the lady told me to come back closer to the wedding with my mum, so that she could show her properly how it's done.

My MOH did mine. She came to the final fitting to watch and have a go and we did about 4 practices in the final month. She was a pro and very quick and secure on the day x

My friend did mine... a word of warning. Having it really tight gives you an amazing figure but sitting down is so uncomfortable.

I had not thought of this and made them pull the dress really really tight. When I sat down I swear I could feel my internal organs....

My husband had to loosen it after the starter!!!

It is the only thing I would change about my wedding day....

I would loosen it off after the photos have been taken.

It did look amazing though... no pain no gain,,,,

    Here is a photo...
