My only advice would be to arrange to meet with a couple that you like the look of or see them at a wedding fayre. You need to get on with the photographer as he or she is going to be there for what could be a big chunk of your special day (esp if you want them there for you getting ready). You will only know if you will feel comfortable around them if you chat to them.

Try searching 'wedding photographers in south wales' - all on page 1 are good - depends on how much you want to spend? Pretty much all photographers cover from Newport to Swansea as standard. Try looking at A R Jenkins photography, Sacha Miller, A.L.S, S A One, Kapow.
