Top table decoration

Purple Pixie, 1 March, 2012 at 12:47 Posted on Planning 0 10

I've tried googling but I've not found much. Does anybody have any ideas/photos for top table decoration that doesn't involve swagging?

Thanks

I am planning to have my freestanding wooden letters 'Mr & Mrs T*****' along the front and then a very small fishbowl either end.. nothing draping down the front, I don't think it needs it.

We are having a top table but not in a line but our tables flowers will be white - so they can see we are the bridal table.

I don't think we'll put anything on our top table, just my bridal bouquet and maybe get the bridesmaids to put theirs up there for the breakfast and then move them all over to the cake afterwards.

Might get a Mr & Mrs sign....can't decide!

EDIT: We're decoration enough ? no one's going to be looking at what the table is wearing ?

We're having jar centrepeices - we'll have two of these on the top table.

We're also having a large wicker heart on the front.

For our top table we are planning on having a Mr & Mrs sign, my flowers and then long glass plates with candles and crystals and inbetween the glass plates, rose petals. No swagging and no big flowers.

We're having bunting strung across the front of ours, like this:

We're also going to have two empty vases/jugs to put mine and my bridemaid's bouquets in and a few jam jar tealights.

I am having 3 long low flower arrange, ents made - one will also go ont he register table, and then all will go on the front of the top table.

No idea where the bouquets will go - there are 3 different ones, and mines not going to be small, and ones and arm held and the other a pomander!!

We are having swagging and a long and low floral/twig arrangement in the centre with tea lights running along the table.

I think something like this is the normal flower type arrangement, we use dto make loads of these when I was a florist (which isn't that long ago !!)

I think we're just going to have vases for my bouquet and two of the bridesmaid's ones. Nothing else. Long top tables are quite narrow so too much will just make it look cluttered I think.
