Top Table for Two?

I think we are having a sweethear table for just us two. Our families reallydont get along and my dad wont be coming to our wedding I think its nice to have just the two of you. It gives you some alone time on the day x

I would love to do this (they are called sweetheart tables) there are some great pics of them around, but I have never been to a wedding with one. I think its a lovely idea, just give you and your new hubby some time "alone" so to speak.

I am definitely having one due to the fact it avoids the politics of choosing who sits with you, especially if you have fractured families, and also my mum's health has deteriorated drastically since her and my dad parted so I doubt she will want all of his side of the extended family staring at her. I would be curious to know how the OP/anyone else has decorated or made a feature of the table though as that is something I think may need considering.

We are doing this at our wedding. Though we are having a small wedding with less than fifty guests. I think it's a fab idea.

I'm still undecided yet but really like the idea of having a sweetheart table for us two and would mean we get more personal time.

We had friends who had one and it was very good for them to have alone time.
We didn't have one but to be honest we could have done easily because whenever we weren't eating, we weren't in our seats, we were up visiting tables to speak to our guests.

We did a wedding a few weeks ago with a top table for just the bride and groom. I thought it was a lovely idea. To be honest you cant chat much to the people on an 18ft long top table unless you shout to each other lol.

I quite like the idea. I went to a wedding in the states where they had it and it worked quite well.
