Top Table Help!

.A.S., 21 March, 2014 at 21:02 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hi all,

I'm doing our table plan now the RSVPs have slowly dripped in, and the top table is starting to make me nervous...

My OH has two best men, he's known them both over 20 years and are closer to him than his now estranged family (on his dads side). But to cut a long story short I have currently seated them on a round table with other guests and girlfriends instead of up top. I have done the same with my two BM's.

My parents & MIL are joining us at the top with my daughter, so 5.5 of us technically.

Will this interrupt the flow of the speeches? I've never been to a wedding where the Best Man(Men) aren't sat at the top with the bridal party. Seating all four of them up the top makes the floorplan a complete ball ache in all honesty !!!

Help ...

It shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure they're in the best line of sight of your OH and the rest of the guests so they can deliver the speech effectively. X

I don't see why it would matter. The best man/men will presumably stand up to make their speech/s and everyone else will still be sat down, so it will be obvious. I wouldn't worry about it ?

The best man & BM's at my daughters wedding were sitting at other tables with their oh's. The best man stood up to do his speach & it was fine. The speaches just flowed normally Smiley smile
