    Sure.

We all know that anything is better than a stuffy three-course meal. Guests don't want it and couples don't want to pay for it. It's the truth.

Jacket potatoes? Far too formal, just give everyone a packet of crisps and a snickers.

You could combine the meal with entertainment and have guest foraging for their own food in the venue grounds. Just give them a knife and a knapsack (from a wicker basket with a cute poem on)

Or get guests to order their own domino's pizza, who wouldn't be happy with that?

    The idea is fine.

Slagging off the standard choice of three-course meal as being stuffy, unnecessary and unwanted is an odd tactic for a supplier to take, alienating a fair chunk of the forum here. I spent a lot of money on my food and I'm pretty sure everyone enjoyed it immensely. Suggesting that my guests were bored or ungrateful or it was, by definition, sh*t is a bit rude.

And most amusing is the "subtle" hints. Juicy Jackets, you have paid to advertise. Just tell people that you can cater for them with jacket potatoes.

Oh didn't realize that they were advertising juicy jackets on here, I just saw the comment about three courses being too formal. Doh I've just seen their name now!

Oh my god, my guests are going to hate my formal, stuffy, 3 course meal, ah well, if they 'don't really want it' I will finish it all off, the food at my venue is lush!

I'm reading this in all seriousness, astonished that foraging came up before Pot Noodle (I mean, come on, it wouldnt have to be Chicken Chow Mein, you could give them Beef & Tomato FFS).

Am off to hunt notonthehighstreet for 'personalised foraging hamper'....

Ahhh but pot noddle is designer! Surely Aldi will do a cheaper alternative? ( other value supermarkets are a available ) I personally plan to create a delicous meal by serving every guest a happy meal! Free toy as the favours so its a 2 in 1!
