Traditional White Dress or should I be brave???

susiewilliams2b, 2 February, 2011 at 21:15 Posted on Planning 0 9

I've been looking at lots of the wedding catwalk collections and I have fallen in love with the non traditional white dresses. I love the trend of the soft greys, dusky pinks and very pale blue wedding dresses. Vera Wang has some beautiful dresses in different hues. Should I stay traditional or be brave and go with something a little different???? My dress will determine my colour scheme for the wedding. P.S our venue is very minimal and white......

Try some colours! I fell in love with the idea of a red wedding dress (christmas wedding) but then once I tried veils on decided I had to have the traditional colour as wearing a veil was so important to me. Good luck!! xx

? from me for going for an alternative colour...... you can be as bold as you like, it's all about how the dress makes you feel on your big day!

Think about it this way - do you have anything in your wardrobe that you feel great in, in traditional wedding colours? If not then wear a colour that you know makes you look and feel fab.

I personally love traditional white dress because it's classic, simple and also elegant...but if you like so much non traditional white dress you can try it....a wedding is an important moment that happens only once in your life and I think that you should do what you feel .....indeed Vera Wang is a good choice...?

I think if you like them then you should at least try them on and consider them.

    Good luck!

I love the soft grey wedding dresses myself. I went for vintage in the end, but if I had for new, I would deffo have gone for this.

Thanks for all your advice! I really think I am going to go pale grey for my wedding dress! I am so loving the Vera Wang. I cant afford that one but definately want something along those lines..............have been thinking my colour theme will be greys and pale pinks with a little bit of white maybe in the flowers just to lift it. What do you think??????

I think pale pink would look very nice, also a light sage green? I would avoid blues as the whole affect could be rather washed out.
