Travelling to the US - Visa Waiver Programme

monkeychops, 25 October, 2009 at 21:54 Posted on Off Topic Posts 1 2

It's a few years since I've been to the US, but we're off to New York next weekend & I've just noticed a section on my online booking page that suggest I need to apply for a 'Visa Waiver' before travelling. Does anyone know what this is? In previous trips we've just filled out a form whilst on the plane, but I'm guessing things have changed!

Yes you have to do this now before you go, although we still had to fill out the form on the plane as well. I think you have up until 3 days before you go to do it, so do it soon! Its free and only really need personal information such as name, d.o.b etc. Oh and you'll also need your passport number. When I googled it, a few sites came up that claimed there was a charge for it but it is free.
