Trial Booked inc. Pamper Party - but what treats??

xoxoxo2017, 29 September, 2014 at 10:16 Posted on Planning 0 4

Had a date confirmed in February for a hair & makeup trial followed by a Pamper Party for all the females in the bridal party (BMs, Mums, Sisters, FGs) for us all to bond, try products, and have a laugh Smiley smile

BIG THANKS to the Hitched user who recommended Perfect Image as I have booked Melissa for the trial.

I will be getting some bottles of fizz for the day and WAS going to lay out food but as my sister said, it should be a day of relax, so going to book a table at the pub over the road instead for afterwards Smiley smile

I DO want to do something though as I am a feeder and love entertaining.... Thought a goody bag or treat for each lady (youngest adult is me @ 28 oldest is 67 my mum) and a couple of games.... any ideas?

We did something similar, but we had private use of the salon rather than having it at home, so had no prep space for food. Instead we took M&S pre-made cold canapes and sushi packs on platters with us, along with bottles of fizz and a couple of boxes of posh chocs for nibbles during the day. Then had chinese takeaway and a girly dvd in the evening.

Even though you're in a home environment rather than a salon this could work for you as a no-fuss no-work kind of option, or with home facilities available to you you could use it as a starting point and fancy it up, or include hot items.

I went to a hen party recently and they had a couple of rounds of pass the parcel .. not only did you get a cheeky treat there was also a truth or dare in there! It was really fun but on the day a 12 year old came along and luckily she is very mature but it was still a bit cringey!

Another one is the word game where you all stand in a circle and have a hat or bowl full of words .. you each have to dip into the bowl and pick a word and say it out loud without laughing .. anyone to laugh has to sit down ... can have a little treat for the last one (or two) standing!

I arranged my friend's hen a while back and made up personalised gift bags for each of the girls .. had glittered shot glasses, made cupcakes, personalised sweetie bags, sash, whistle, straws, a couple of test tube shots (could use miniatures instead) .. and I can't remember anything else as it was a while ago!

You could get t-shirts or sashes made for the day if you are into that .. As it is related to pampering you could put a little pamper kit in a bag .. eye mask, nail varnish, nail file, toe separators (don't know official name for these!!) ... friendship bracelets, wine glass charms ...

You could always play the 'I Have Never' Game... depends on how young your FGs are though!!

'How well do you know your Mr' - you could get each of the girls to get a question and answer from the groom ... or you could ask your girls to do a 'How well do you know the bride' game where you ask them questions and see who gets what right!

You could play things like Charades or Who Am I games with the younger girls definitely able to get involved ... could base it totally on wedding theme .. that would be fun!
