Trying to find tea rooms in Surrey

lyni, 9 September, 2008 at 10:32 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 12

Can anyone recommend tea rooms in Surrey/SW London please?

I'm trying to find one to take my nana to in the near future, and I'm not getting many results.

TIA

There's a nice little tea room at Winkworth Arboretum near Godalming, particularly good if you think she'd like a bit of a walk as well. Haven't been in years though so can't vouch for the tea/coffee, but it's a nice area to visit.

Thanks for the suggestion. Walking no good though, but will see if its suitable for a wheelchair. Am off to have a look!

Thanks and I've just seen there is! It says it is open during the summer season though, so may be out of luck!

Edited to say it is already closed! ☹️

Not sure if this is too far out for you but there is one in Seale, near Farnham. There's a craft centre there too with a few little shops. It's been years since I last went but I'm sure it's still there.

I'll be in Seale this weekend funny enough, so will try and look out for it then! Thanks again.

There's a lovely little one in Shere, really pretty little village. It's where they filmed that film "The Holiday"

What about Savill Garden in the Great Park nr Egham / Windsor. Weather dependant, the path around Virginia Water should be OK for a wheelchair and the food at Saville Garden is lovely, from roast dinner to cream tea and many other options.

Seconded, lovely cakes etc, incredible architecture too (award winning) and v wheelchair friendly (good parking, no steps etc). Definitely not a traditional tea room, though.

I heard the cream tea at Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa is nice but possibly a bit pricey.
