    Hi

congrats on getting engaged!! Im not in the Sunderland area but if your having a civil wedding I would contact your registra office and ask for a list of all licenced venues it comes in a small booklet and you can look through all the places then pick a few to go have a better look at!!

    Hope that helps!!

Hi - as you can see i'm from the right side of the river! (Heehee!)

What sort of venue are you looking for? The Marriott at Seaburn was always popular. There's also the Pullman Lodge and another hotel along there?
Just outside and around Sunderland - George Washington Hotel, Washington Old Hall...? There's always that stadium of yours too! :o) Doesn't the Glass Centre do private functions?? Just along the road a little bit you've got South Shields and the Little Haven Hotel or Sea Hotel... Running out of steam here...

There's a venue finder on here which you can search by county - have a look through that and see what you can find. might provide you with some inspiration at least. Or have a search on the internet.

    Hi there

Erm not sure about you being from the right side of the river ha ha (my future mother in law supports middlesbrough) so the stadium of light would be funny. we were at a wedding fair there last weekend. I just want a really nice venue. I'm not sure if the glass centre does private functions but I will have a look thank you. Thanks for your advice it greatly appeciated.

    Thanks

    Vicky

Just found this thread so am joining in a bit late but oh well!

I went to a reception at the Glass Centre a couple of years ago, it was lovely, there is a function room at the back of the main gallery space and then the meal was in the restaurant - it was a pretty big wedding though so not sure if they normally close the restaurant for functions or not.
