TT - Did anyone park at Wembley?

You have just selaed my decision to go by tube tonight! I know they want everyone to use public transport so maybe they secretly allow it to be chaotic to put everyone off from driving next time ?

No excuse though really - they should be better organised at Wembley.

I would definitely go my tube if you can. I honestly thought it would be easier by car and don't know if last night was just particularly farcical. I am heading back in August and there is no way I am driving (I might need reminding of that nearer the time....)

We drove on Weds and it took nearly two hours to get out of the carpark. This wouldn't stop me driving in future, I would just go and get something to eat and drink afterwards, rather than sitting in traffic

We must have been really lucky - we park at Wembley on Friday and from TT finishing and us walking out to getting stuck on the north circular was half an hour.

I drove. I wouldn't touch any official car park. Expensive and an absolute nightmare to get out of. I drove round a looked at all the unofficial carparks and decided to pay a fiver and park on the industrial estate (near the smelly waste handling place). It didn't look that nice round there but was totally reassured as the police were opposite with the horse wagon. It took 5 mins to walk back to the car and we joined the one way system to get out of wembley - less than 10 mins later was on the A406 on the way home.

We passed so many unofficial ones which would have been so much better in hindsite. I appreciate it can take a while to get out of car parks with the sheer number of people. It was the lack of organisation or marshalling that annoyed me last night. We were all quite happy sat chatting in the car. When people started to just randomly push out meaning everyone else who had waited in the official exit queue went nowhere, that is when it made me think never again. I have been to events at the old Wembley and it was managed so much better. From the comments above it seems as if it was just a bad night.
