UGGs and Snowjoggers

jaz, 12 September, 2008 at 15:27 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 20

Does anyone know anything about snowjoggers? Are they comfortable etc?

Also UGGs - would you go for the pale brown, mid brown or grey? Does anyone know how they are in rain if sprayed with scothguard stuff?

I love Uggs (bought some in Vegas that are great and even better because I can't find them on any website so I may have the only pair!!!). I've sprayed them with a protecter thingy so they should be ok. I never really had any trouble with any pairs before that I haven't protected though.

I had to look up what snowjoggers were. I think that'll be another trend i'll be avoiding.

I've got the mid brown Uggs and I'd have black if I was to buy another pair. They aren't great in the rain, so I wouldn't actively wear them in the rain but if you get caught in a shower they are ok and don't stain. They will soak though to the feet though. I must admit mine are really just house slippers, I don't really wear them out that much.

I've put mine through the washing machine about 3 times with great results.

I'm not sure what's uglier, those SnowBoots or Uggs ?

I think I'm the only person in London who does not and will never own a pair!

The cheap uggs are awful, the amount of girls I see that seem to be walking on the sides of their feet with them. I must admit though, M&S have a cute cerise pair i'm going to buy MissSun.

SD's want a pair each. I've said no. They can save their pocket money and buy some but I will not fork out for them. My sister has just bought L a pair from Next, they are very cute.

I've got chocolate brown Uggs, I haven't sprayed them with anything so they're a bit battered but I love them. I want some grey cardi Uggs for my anniversary next month.

    I don't like the snowjoggers.

I have mid brown normal uggs and grey cardi knitted ones. I've sprayed both with normal scotch guard stuff.

The normal ones are a bit battered but I do wear them when walking the dog.

I wouldn't wear the cardi ones in the rain and they stretch like buggery.

MrPOD haaaaaaaaaates my cardi ones. Thinks they're the most disgusting things on the plantet. Think they're the marmite of shoes.

I didn't realise you could wash them - excellent - how did the sheepskin come out?

Snowjoggers would definitely be more for comfort than fashion ? plus I've syied a pair reduced from £70 something to £21 ? Also I live in the countryside and thought they'd be comfy for dog walking etc

I don't think uggs are particularly ugly though ? Do you ugg owners wear socks with them? I believe they were designed to be worn bare foot...

See, this is the concept i'm not quite getting, if you can't really wear them in the rain and you live in the UK then surely there isn't a lot of point in them? wouldn't it be cheaper to buy wellies? lol!

and likewise, if you want to slum around the house in them then why not just get the slipper boot thingies you can get... i'm not getting the point at all.

Jazz, step away from the ugly shoes, your manolo's will decamp if you expect them to live in the same house as a pair of snow joggers. I think the fact that they are made by Rubber Duck says it all!

Anyone remember moonboots from the 80's they so remind me of them! We actually get snow here and no I will not be buying a pair!

Totally fine. They are a little stiff to begin with but a couple of wears and they soften again. Takes a couple of days for them to dry. I just leave them to dry naturally.

I wouldn't let my other shoes see them obviously lobster ?

I had ugg-like slippers years ago and loved them. I was also known to nip to the shop in them and they got wet and it didn't kill them completely. Snowjoggers might be a bit extreme but at £21 a little bit bargainous no?

Thanks for all the comfy shoe hating responses ?

The reason I don't like them is the whole sweaty foot thing. Your feet must sweat so badly in there and they must end up chonging! ?

I've got a pair of chocolate brown ankle-height Uggs and I too generally wear them as slippers around the house. And I always wear socks on my feet so no "chonging" or similar! ?

    UPDATE

I bought the snowjoggers (UGGs can wait until payday whenever that might be!) and they are soooooooo comfortable! They are really warm and snug on. I urge you all to laugh in the face on fashion and buy them ?
