Just wondering if there is anyone else out there with this? If so, I would love to hear how you cope with it. I was diagnosed just under a year ago but symptoms have still not improved...

Yes - I have this and suffered horribly with it. I don't have it to the extreme, but even so I still found the symptoms were hard to live with. I'm on medication now which has helped - have they given you meds for it?

Yes i have been on thyroxine for almost a year now - 75mcg - but, so far, it has not seemed to ease the symptoms. I got told recently that my levels are now at the very low end of normal. I suffer mostly with the tiredness, it just seems to be constant. ☹️

Have you found anything that can help at all?

Sorry to hear you are struggling - I am on an even smaller dosage than you, the minmum and it has taken me into the low end of normmal but I am still plagued by symptons - I cannot get the GP to listen and he will not prescribe a higher dosage so I will be following your thread as I too could use asome help!

I'm on 50mg thyroxine but when i last went for a blood test the levels were still low, but he wouldn't increase my dose because I'd missed a few tablets and he said it wasn't reliable enough to increase the dose.

I haven't really found anything that hugely helps with the symptoms, I don't get so tired any more but when I do I don't know what I can with them. Sorry to be not a lot of help but if I find anythign that helps I will report back!

I am going for another blood test tomorrow to see how I'm doing now I'm on 75mcg, although I'm still not feeling much better. They are also doing a random glucose test, does anyone know why this might be? Does it mean they think I am diabetic?

Now on 100mcg, doc said i would probably need to increase to 125/150 but they have to do it gradually. Fingers crossed i start to feel more awake!

Fab news that they're increasing the dosage for you, hope you start to feel better soon! I've just had mine increased to 75mcg, just over a week ago, hope that I start to notice soon. My blood test a coupleof weeks ago showed my TSH was 2.97, but I still feel lethargic, losing hair, and skill like a snowstorm! I do actually feel like I've got a bit more energy, so fingers crossed you will too!

The doc said my thyroid levels are still in the very low end of normal range and as i am fairly young she thought i would operate best nearer the higher end.

I get cold too but never really associated it with my hypothyroidism and my hair falls out all the time (loads of it) which again i never thought was related...
