I think you cant go wrong with edible (if not sweets, biscuits, cupcakes, gingerbread or candied tropical fruit or tropical jam would go down well with your theme) or booze related favours (again a rum or home made tropical punch or cocktail mix would fit with your theme)

5 x traditional sugared almonds in organza bags with personalised ribbon to make it unique to your wedding. You could have white almonds with pink organza bags for the women and orange for the men. This would also add to the decor on your reception tables.

I love something that can be taken away and planted, like a seed flower - to remind your guests of your wedding day for years to come when they look in their garden.

More recently people have filled jam jars with home-made jam featuring personalised stickers on the front.

If you live near a beach, collect pebbles with your partner before the wedding and then write your guests name on them. These could double up as place names too.

A bounty chocolate bar - as their slogan is 'the taste of paradise'? You could also have fun-sized bounty bars on your sweet buffet.

Words associated with paradise to me are: beach, palm tree, frangipani flower, sand, sun, cocktail umbrellas...

Also - if you're having a paradise theme, it could be fun to create unique cocktails/mocktails for your reception party or right after the wedding incorporating both of your names, or your new surname. You could also have cupcakes on your evening buffet with cocktail umbrellas poking out of them for fun.

Can anyone find cocktail mixes like these that ship to the UK? I love the idea but cant find anyone that ships to the UK!!!!!

I have gone for smiley face trolley coins (those for supermarkets) for the girls - and bottle openers in the shape of keys for the boys.

Go to the wholesale and job lot section on ebay there are some good things there if you dig about a bit

Im having eggcups with the date were getting married and our names written on the front.

Got them from a company called Smashing Designs.

We are having hot chocolate and marsmallows for the ladies and as we are getting married on grand national day we are placing a bet for all the men!

What about some cocktail stirrers or cocktail glass charms? Loving the idea of a mini bounty as well! x
