Got my MRI results this morning and I have ruptured one ligament and partially ruptured another, so waiting to get an emergency appointment with my consultant so that we can discuss how to proceed

6 weeks on I was hoping to get rid of the crutches, but no such luck ?

    Totally sympathise! I'm going in for surgery on ruptured cartilidge on Tuesday so I understand where you're coming from! I spent 10 weeks off work last Feb because of this injury and not being able to get out and about myself was the worst part! Not looking forward to doing it all again!

    Fingers crossed for a quick appointment.

    I think I'm getting there thanks. My neck is still bad, my knee isn't right and I keep waking up screaming in the night, but apart from that I'm okay! I keep thinking back to the accident and crying a lot too.......

    Oh no - at least you're on the mend though. Hopefully the night terrors and flash backs will stop soon ?

    My husband is certainly hoping so - he might get a good night's sleep then!!

    I think I would feel better if the drink-driver had got more than a 12 month ban and £130 fine!! ?

    Ouch IQ, that sounds so painful.

    Was this your first MRI on your ankle? Just wondering how come they didn't know before? What are they going to do to your ligament, do you know?

    Had 2 xrays before but as it wasn't healing as expected had an MRI scan - so yes this is the first one. I have to wait to speak to the consultant on Monday - will update you then
