Upgrades...

Sarah_coxy, 13 July, 2013 at 17:32 Posted on Planning 0 4

Well,

I've just emailed our honeymoon hotel and asked for an upgrade for our special stay with them...

As my dear old Dad always told me, you don't ask, you don't get!

Here's hoping!

Well I was just ogling pictures of the resort on trip advisor, and checked out the bit where people who'd stayed there were recommending to try and get a room - and people kept on mentioning asking and getting upgrades for anniversary/honeymoon stays, so I've emailed them directly.

The travel agents booked it as a honeymoon, but as I said before, no harm in asking. They can only say no! Smiley smile

I got a random e-mail today from my wedding co-ordinator saying my boat company are offering a free upgrade to their much bigger boat!! ......free........ I'm thinking there must be something easier for them, because it makes no sense. But I took it anyway Smiley smile

So fingers crossed you will get some of my luck

We've done the same thing for our honeymoon. Emailed the hotel where we'll be staying and told them it was our honeymoon, they'd been recommended to us by friends and that we couldn't wait for our holiday. We had a lovely email back from them, no mention of an upgrade, just how they were pleased we had booked with them and they looked forward to meeting us.

Will we get any special treatment ??? Who knows ??? But I always think these things are worth a try.

Good luck to all of you....give it a try, you never know !!!

I done the same, i emailed the hotel and informed them it was our honeymoon as well as my birthday. I got a reply asking for more information i.e. reservation number, i replied and heard nothing back.

We didn't tell our travel agent it was our honeymoon as we booked online but i think i might drop them a line today.
