Urgent - Orders of Service

SunnyPinkConfetti310, 7 December, 2015 at 21:12 Posted on Planning 0 9

I made my own wedding invitations, it was quite labour intensive but it did it over a period of time and enjoyed it. So I decided to do my Orders of Service in the same style, and I've got all the stationery. The trouble is I get married in just over 3 weeks and I haven't even got 1 finished and I need 100! Also, the stamp I was using has broken and my BM has been trying to source another in time, without success, so I will have to have some with stamped edges and some plain, which I'm not mad on, I'm a bit OCD.

So I'm considering just paying for them to be printed. I'd like folded ones, not just a piece of card. Can anyone make any recommendations for cheap but good places to get printing done?

Thanks in advance.

Cant help with suggestions as to where to get them printed but have you considered doing your own on publisher? My mam just inserted a photo of the church on the front cover with our names etc. Only took an hour to design and cost is just paper and ink. A quick and cheap solution but design is very simple so may not be what you want. Hope you get them sorted, not long for either of us!!

Deff have a look at printed.com I got my invites done by them. Designed myself and printed by them great quality and at 38 +vat for 100 with envelopes and 2 different artworks I'm well happy. Really pleased with the service I received from them my artwork was slightly too small so they emailed me so I could change it and re submit it rather than just printing rubbish like vista print would. If you need any help with the artwork I'd be happy to help as really enjoyed doing mine.

Thanks for your help. I've looked on printed.com and I'm confused. The template for a folded Order of Service is only 2 sides. I want something which prints on the front, back and both inside pages. How do I do that?

The reason for only showing two sides in the template is because one sheet of paper folded creates four pages so you'll put your front and back cover designs on the first "side" of the template and your two middle pages on the second "side". In order to make sure you lay them out right though, grab a piece of paper and fold it, number the pages from 1 to 4 and then open it out. You'll see that page 4 (back cover) is on the left side and the front cover (page 1) is on the right. It seems backwards but when it's folded the pages are all in the right order. The two middle pages are just in the normal order so page 2 on the left, page 3 on the right.

    Hope that helps!

Edit/ I'm a designer by the way and I would recommend printed.com as a decent quality for value printer. I actually ordered my table plan through them and was really pleased with the result.

Use the template twice they will match them up as long as you name them back front etc, I had day front day back night front night back, belly band day belly band night. Also of via quidco and get £8 cash back on first order and if you spend £50 get £10 off Smiley smile

Edit should have said inside outside mine were flat!

Okay that all makes sense. Do they offer an option where I pick one of their designs and just personalise it? I've also found Optimal Print, where I can do this and they're about 87p each for 90.

I so wish I'd done this sooner!

No you need a full artwork.

These are my invites. If you want me to try doing one for you I'll happily try tomorrow night after work.

Wow, they're amazing! Our table plan is GoT (OH's input to the day) but our stuff doesn't look as smart as that ?

If you had the time to play about with something I'd be hugely grateful. I have no artistic skills whatsoever. I've got an idea in mind of what I think I'd like, from others I've seen, and it looks simple but that doesn't mean its straightforward ?
