Vases

MrsBear2b, 10 August, 2010 at 14:25 Posted on Planning 0 9

Does anyone have any suggestions for where I could buy or hire clear glass vases for my centrepieces? We have 23 tables in total and ideally I'd like to find some that won't break the bank, at the moment all I can see are things that start at about £10 so £230 not including flowers and a stack of vases at the end!

I'm looking for tall centepieces so about 30cm, has anyone come across any on their searches?

I've bought some from Ikea before, I'm sure they were only £1-£2.

Laura - I've had a look at Ikea, the tall ones that I want seem to be more expensive. Will keep looking!

Latewedding - thank you for the matalan suggestion, hadn't thought of that yet!

Vickster - Well we're having 2 weddings, I'm Vietnamese and OH is Indian. So the first is a Vietnamese one in Birmingham with 230 attending, then the week after it is in London and we have 300 for that...stressful!

Hence the wanting to keep the cost of vases and little things down as much as possible if we need to have double of everything.

Just had a quick look, these are the ones I bought:

I think they do different sizes in store too...

Wow that is a lot of people - can understand you wanting to save the pennies where you can. We are having rectangular vases from Ikea too - £1.79 each

Have you tried poundland and places like that? they quite often have vases and things..... I bought my jugs for our wedding in one £1.69 and they were what i was looking for, or wilkinsons maybe.... i think morrisions also used to do quite cheap vases

Thanks so much everyone, will have a look at all of those places. I've heard that some florists will hire too, that might help with the cost. Hopefully I'll be able to reuse them for both of the weddings too, right now to actually move and get searching!

Rainbow florist supplies (https://www.britanniadirect.org.uk/acatalog/LVBW.html) have clear 30cm lily vase for £47 for a box of 12 if that's any better?
