Veil question

I'll be wearing a veil but it wont be covering my face cos i agree with you, although its traditional i think it looks (and i would feel) a bit silly!

Definately won't be wearing my veil over my face....it'll be too hot and I'd feel a prat! I don't think many brides do wear veils over face now-a-days.

To be honest it totally depends on the style of the veil, how you are wearing your hair & where the veil is placed on your head. I don't know many brides how wear it covering their face these days at all.

In fact I don't know any that I can think of, both friends/family who have got married & clients.

Im wearing mine down. I no i'll be nervous so it'l be one way of hiding a wee bit. I have been at wedding swher the veil wasnt down tho so its entirely up to you. If i wasnt wearign it down, i'd probably go for the pillar box or bird cage veil...i think thats what you call them!

Im still undecided about a veil... Did everyone know automatically they wanted to wear one?

I am going to wear a waist length veil, but wont have it covering my face, i would just feel like a right idiot! when trying them on i put a few over my face and it felt like i was dressing up as a ghost for halloween! lol x

Mrssaleem - I was adament that I wasn't wearing a veil until I came across birdcage veils - less traditional but still a veil nonetheless.

That said I am REALLY struggling to find one I like so am contemplating making my own. I'm wearing the Ian Stuart Unforgettable dress which comes with a flower (supposed to be worn on the shoulder but mine will be on my hip) I've ordered an extra one to use with my veil.

If I could find a really plain birdcage that I could add the flower to that would be ideal, but failing that I'll be hunting through haberdasheries very soon!

If anyones got any ideas that might help me out I'd really appreciate it.
