Venue for 60 people (day and evening) in the south east - any ideas?

Lindsaylondon, 12 January, 2015 at 16:08 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi all, We are hoping to have a small wedding and I'm struggling to find a wedding venue that has some history (i.e. a manor house or ex priory etc) that will host a 60 person wedding. I am more than happy to travel to any of the home counties (i'm based in London) for the right venue! Alot of the venues I think look perfect turn out to require the wedding party to pay for 20+ bedrooms as well which means it goes out of our price range/has the added stress of ensuring all of the rooms are taken by wedding guests!

My perfect venue is Leez Priory but our numbers are too small.

Help!

xx

Danson house in welling - my venue! We could have up to 65 guests and they have the boathouse for receptions. Gorgeous grounds too - have a look at my report for pictures x

Hyde barn in Stow is purpose built in the grounds of an old rectory.

Look at Kent Life Museum in Maidstone - very quirky and has Premier Inn next door for guests staying overnight.

Also Little Hermitage at Higham, Kent. Beautiful old house and gardens and price includes a bridal suite for getting ready and staying overnight (no other on site accommodation though).

We're getting married at Crabb's barn this July and our wedding party will be in the region of 60 people. It's a 15th century building with plenty of outdoor space and a pergola :-)
