venue questions

Just trying to make a note of all the questions i need to ask at our next meeting...maybe the last one we have!

so far i have:

check timings

cake stand & knife

who will control music

where the tables will be including cake table & evening buffett

which way will i go in

timings for rooms (im staying in an out building the night before but obv need to move to the bridal suite at some point!

anything else u lovely ladies can think of?

    Space for photography of any groups IF the weather means that you have to be inside. Many venues will give you an extra room for free for the photography if you ask in advance.

    What does their insurance cover?

    Are there any restrictions if ur planning on having lighting / smoke machine / millions of extras etc

    Can you put anything on the walls?

    How many rooms are allocated for guests to book? (specifically set aside for your wedding)

    Do they have an in-house dj or do u need to get your own? Van you meet him / her and get to know them before hand? If you wish to arrange your own DJ do you get anything off the package cost?

    Can they reccomend anyone for any of your suppliers (you may get discounts off if u mention the venue recommended them)

    Will there be any other brides on the day? Helps to know in advance for some people.

    Where you can store thank you presents until speeches?

    When do they set up the room I case you want to help/ make sure all details are as you want them.

    If its a civil ceremony at the venue, do they have the ability to reserve your family seats in the ceremony room?
