Where are you based so we can recommend local companies to you? Smiley smile

    Hi Ladies,

We charge £2.25 as its usually a couple of hours to dress the chairs(depending on how many). I have the added costs of paying a helper and then the laundering of the chair covers( i launder after every hire and it costs me a fortune in stain remover alone) and we iron each sash after every event as well. It looks like a launderette in my kitchen after every wedding lol!!

If you decide to do it yourself make sure you have many helpers-the more creative can tie the bows and the others can pull on the chair covers(be prepared to break a sweat!) Then have one person going around and straightening any seams and bows and making sure they are all the same size/height at the front and back of the chair(yes i am OCD!)

You could ask MIL or friends to launder the chair covers for you, wash the stretch covers on a delicate 30 degree wash without fabric softener and use stain remover on the feet/stains if there are any(i found vanish oxi spray@ around £4.50 is great) Be careful with tumble drying(i hang them to dry).

If it saves you alot of money then it will be worthwhile, if its only saving you £20 or £30 pounds then i personally would hire somebody to do it for you :-)

    Hope this helps.....?
