Following a family visit to Cadbury world

Are Curly Wurlys shorter than they used to be, or are we longer? MrRache and I can't decide.

Definitely shorter. And they used to be about 10p.

Creme eggs are smaller too. Did you get some of those? Only place in the country you can buy them outside of season <useless fact>

Curly wurly's are one of the few chocolate bars which I think haven't changed in size ?

Smaller. When I describe the length of a 20 week fetus to my clients as the length of a Curly Wurly (and I do, every day), I have to tell them that this is in the wrapper. The actual chocolate is disappointingly short ?

Mr A says they're shorter. And he should know, he's the candy man.

Oh God, now he's droning on about Mars Bars being smaller as well.

Everything is smaller. There was a point when they made them all smaller so they didn't have to increase the price to make bigger profits. At least, that's what a friend of mine who worked for Rowntrees told me.

Enjoy rubbing Mr Rache's nose in it, because they are definitely loads smaller than they used to be. Nothing is quite the same anymore. Put the additives back in Smarties, I say! ?

Smarties taste crap without all the e numbers don't they? More taste in the tube.

In a similar vein to the curly wurly, are monster munch smaller now? They used to be huge!

    I miss curlywurlys!

They used to be dead long & wide & you could never get the wrapper down them without sucking it!

I miss long packets of monster munch too. roast beef was the best. They had giant hands in them!!

Multipack CW are smaller than individual - or they were 3 years ago as they had different WW points values.

It's not just Smarties either. I bought a pack of Tootie Frooties at the weekend and they now have no artifical colours and are flavoured with real fruit juice. WTF, just not the same!

Well to be fair to poor Mr Rache, you're both right. Unless you both have a growth impairment, you have both got longer as well.

I think they've got smaller but maybe it's just that our mouths have got bigger! I love curly wurlys, I have some in the fridge at the moment. They're still only about 18p or 19p in the supermarkets too.

Smaller, definately. Its not a problem really though, coz I just eat two instead...

I miss Smarties full stop now that they are Nestle. I have my 3 year old indoctrinated now though, he checks if sweeties have the 'nestle badge' on before we choose them, 'because mr nestle isn't kind to babies is he mummy'. Gets some funny looks in the shop but hey ho ?

Its just occured to me that we don't know exactly what context this was in and maybe Mr Rache was fishing for a compliment...

They have creme eggs in our corner shop left over from Easter.

And Curly Wurlys (Should that be Curly Wurlies?) are definitely shorter. Ginger nut biscuits and digestives are smaller too.

And Wagon Wheels - they used to be HUUUUUGE.

Now they're about the same size as a normal biscuit.
