Very small wedding but can't find a venue :-(

We only have about 18-20 people coming to our wedding and we aren't having a reception as we want it to be really intimate. We are only having the ceremony and wedding breakfast, but we can;t seem to fnd anywhere small enough- lots of places are asking for a minimum number of 50 and I called a few and that's definetly the minimum number thy want! (probably beacuse they can ake more money). Any ideas on small wedding venues would be really helpful as we have a theme that we really want to do, but don;t want to pay large sums for a venue that we aren't going to have the people for!

    Hi and welcome to hitched!

    Where are you located? What theme are you going for? (this is important as if you're going for a laid back country theme etc no point in going in a castle!)

    We are having the same as you want a small wedding with 31 people (a few more than you but still small) and after just a buffet.We have booked a hotel for it

    I guess it depends on what you want but how about a local restaurant? Some might have a private room to hire that will be big enough. I.e. not in the main restaurant.

    I saw one on Four Weddings once and their local pub had a room large enough for about 20 people and they just had one big table in the middle of the room with everyone round it.

    We're based in buckinghamshire and as far as a theme we're thinking labyrinth but as to where we hold it that is small enough for our guests but good enough for our idea is a difficulty
