Vibes please

I decided to call our mortgage lender today as I thought it odd we haven't heard anything for a while...turns out that we dont have a mortgage offer at all. We saw an adviser in branch, all was fine so we thought, 5 weeks ago Nationwide realized there was an issue...yet no one has called us to let us know! If I hadn't have called them today then we would be none the wiser. I feel a huge complaint being sent off.

So upset. Our sellers have just had an offer accepted too so we thought we were so nearly there. This will be the second time we lose this house if it all goes tits up which it is looking like it is.

Can I have some vibes please? ?

    I dont know, the branch manager is going to look at that for us but that doesnt solve our problem. The issue is that we are on such a tight budget we dont have any room for new survey fees or anything, we have burnt out all the parental help we can. We earn good money and can easily afford the payments each month so I dont know what the issue is.

    This exactly happened to us when we bought out house too, (and with nationwide!) there were issues and until we rang them they didn't tell us we didn't have the mortgage offer!

    it all worked out in the end for us too do I'm sure it will for you

    My friends had to apply for a few mortgages and found out the problem with one of them was because they had applied already it had gone against them on their credit score. Could it be anything like that affecting you? They did manage to get round it quickly with another company, so fingers crossed for you.

    Mini, we had similar with Santander. Problem after problem and they never once contacted us to tell us. I started calling them every monday wed and Fri for updates. We got there after 40 days. We nearly lost the house but we got it sorted in the end. Vibes coming your way. It can be so stressful, so I sympathise!

    Hope it works out Mini. We had terrible trouble with Nationwide, they didn't tell us anything either until we phoned them so I totally sympathise.
