We didn't have one as we'd seen so many cheesy examples it put us off - changed our minds too late though, so ended up getting someone to video the ceremony and speeches on our camera. The quality and sound isn't great, I wish we'd budgeted for a proper videographer originally. If you can afford it - go for you, if you're like us you'll only regret it later!

I'm not having one, if a friend wants to bring a video camera then thats fine, but not paying for one. From what I have heard though, the price is similar to photographer. Where in Norfolk are you? I'm in Cambridgeshire, will keep an eye out for one for you.

I was adament that I didn't want a video. I work for a tv channel, so ironically I could have one for free! However, my OH is starting to say that it might be nice, so that we can show people who can't be there. Which is a good point. We have a couple of infirm relatives who won't be able to come.

It's a hard decision, but I guess it's better to have one than regret it later.

(Ali changes her mind yet again!)

Try http://kaandaroeventvideography.co.uk/ Not been going long, so may give a good price if she's free.

    Hi.

We're having these people: www.dreamcapturevideo.co.uk who are based in Norfolk. H2B wasn't keen but I just think twenty years on we'll be glad we did it!

ps- no idea why some of that is in Green!

We're not having one, and I really don't think we'll regret it either. We'll have lovely photos and that will be enough for us, I don't think I'd really ever watch a video of our wedding day because I am so critical of myself but I know I'll enjoy looking at photos.

But we knew we didn't want one from the beginning - if you're not sure then perhaps get one because perhaps you'd be more likely to regret it later?

I would love a videographer but at the moment i dontthink the budget stretches to both a pgotgrapher and a videographer so we have just gone with the tog. i really hope that we find an injection of cash from somewhere as i d love to have one though x

Hiya, we're not having one. Just don't see ourselves watching it that much. We'll have the memories and the photos of the day.

H didn't want one, but I found someone who was just starting out and doing some on the cheap in exchange for agreement that it can be used for promotional purposes, so I talked H round. When it arrived and we watched it he admitted he was very glad I'd talked him round! We paid £70, but you can pay £600-£700 for an established professional.

I'd love one, but the only ones I liked were booked up, so decided not to go with one just for the sake of it (and for about £800). instead, a friend is doing it-she has an editing suite and is an arty type (and is also preggers so wont be drinking!!!) and is more than happy to do it.

however, if the ones I wanted hadnt been booked already, I would have had one. bit of an ambiguous answer-sorry.

We are having one, I had a few friends who didn't and regretted it so that was enough for me. Also H2B's grandparents are not coming so will be nice for them to watch. Ours is costing £795 for coverage upto 11pm

We are not having one. Just not my kind of things at all and as others have said I don't think it would be watched that much. A friend of mine sent me a copy of hers last year as I wasn't able to go to her wedding .... to be honest I watched a bit of it but it was too long to watch the whole thing, so maybe think about how much and what you want videoed.

I would say that if you can afford it then definitely get one.

You can always get a video and then not watch it but if you change your mind after then you cant go back and change it and you never get that moment back.

As many others have said, you might not want to now but in 20 years you might!

    Hello

We got married this September and we are just waiting for our Videographer to ring us and say its all done...at the start to be honest i was like no i dont really want one....too much money blah blah blah, but im so glad my husband changed my mind.

We have done a trailer with ours and we cant wait to see the finished results...yes it was expensive but i can say one thing the day goes very very quickley, and now we are in october and the wedding seems like years ago...so to look back on our wedding day will be amazing.

Our was expensive but we are using smokescreen visuals and you should get their demo cd...before we got married we couldn't stop watching it....my advice is check em out i think you'll agree that they are rather good www.smokescreenvisuals.co.uk
