We used https://www.specialoccasionvideos.com/FilmJamie.html that is the link to our highlights on his website so you can have a look - but the site is blocked from my work computor so I can't check if he covers your area but you can have a look, I am in Herts so not a million miles away. We done the £600 package and he started from groom arriving at the church till about an hour after the first dance.

We used Your Perfect Day - the video is amazing and he does travel, we were in Herts so not too far from you. I must say that I think a good videographer is worth every penny... I love my video, hearing our vows and speeches again... *goes off into wedding bubble*

The site is blocked from my work pc too but I have flashed the highlights before (will search and find it for you).

I think maybe another point should be added to the welcome thread... Watch Mrs C's wedding vid, cry, increase your budget because you can't imagine getting married without a videographer... That's what it was for us!! Mrs C... Keeping videographers in business since 2011!!!

    Hi Tinnut,

That is a good question and will gladly answer it.

Mostly, people book me for both as they get a good discount for booking both services. When booked both, I usually use a professional TOG for the photography on the day and then I edit the images myself.

As I like to fully control the video side of things because I take my editing style into consideration, it is a lot easier for me as an editor, also, to do the video.

Of course, there are ocassions where the couple have already booked their TOGs before video and I have worked with them in harmony as I always try to break the ice at the introduction stage. I never had any problems with them. Although, there has been an occassion where there was a TOG and her assistant who thought I was a guest!!! (I had a Pro camera, why they thought that, I don't know). Initially, they were looking down their noses at me, I felt. Until, that is they lost control of the guests for group shots. No one was listening to them as they could not get them to pose. I asked if they would like me to organise the group (over 100 people), and she (the main TOG) gave me funny looks. As they were wasting a lot of time, I eventually got the groups sorted for her and told her I was an experienced TOG also. After that, the TOG and her assistant were like best friends with me.

having built up my experience and connections over the years, I have worked with many professional TOGs and VOGs who I can count on when needing their services.

Hope this sheds some light for you.

    Bob

We used White Partridge (www.whitepartridge.com) who are based in London but happy to travel down south. I can not recommend them enough - see our video links below.

    Part 1

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFDzg9aLyg8

    Part 2

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ0kgYk8T80

We got a special rate - £550 (he filmed from 1pm to 10pm) because he's a friend's friend but if you do send him an enquiry, mention my recommendation.

    Good luck x

May I take this opportunity to introduce me and my company. My name's Dan, I own Expressive Arts Productions Ltd and we are based in the West Midlands but cover the whole of the UK and have been around for 3 years now. We primarily work in the corporate sector, but provide public services from personal filming experience and Weddings. Our basic package is £750 and that covers everything from the guests arriving through to the first dance. As standard, we use 3 HD cameras, wireless mics and provide 2 camera operators.

The link to our website is www.eapfilms.com - Bear with us for the moment as we are still organising the video page in the Wedding area. We also offer 15% off if you're a member of this website. See website for more details.

As for working alongside the TOG, don't worry - we generally work with them, not against them.

All the best with your planning :-)

    Dan

I cried when I saw MrsC's vid but that's cause I ❤️ MrsC (who doesn't?!), but it was on hearing stupidlamb's rationale for having a VOG and hearing how happy she was when she saw it (talking off H) that I booked a VOG... ?

A videograph was one of the last things we booked and I'm so glad we did. It is great to look back on and you notice lots of little things that perhaps you didn't see on the day.A professionally captured wedding video is undoubtedly the best way to capture as much of the wedding detail as possible. From the way the bride's veil moves in the breeze during the ceremony, to the steal of a kiss in between photos when the bride and groom finally have a second to themselves.

Hi im a Bridal Makeup Artist and wanted to let you know about a new idea coming into the Wedding Industry which is a modern twist on the traditional Videographer.
Check out www.mydigitalday.co.uk and see what you think.

He also does a private blog page for you and your guests to write comments and videograms from loved ones that cant make it to your wedding. This can be included on the final dvd.
