Vine on Soccer AM

Chicken, 25 October, 2008 at 09:16 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 20

I know there's no one here that cares and even my mates that would pretend to care are MIA but Rowan Vine is on Soccer AM this morning. Poor sod, I guess when he agreed to go on he didn't know we'd sack our manager 24hrs before he appeared.

I love Viney a little bit - he's out with a broken leg - I think he probably wants to marry me (and the feeling is mutual. Watch this space ..)

Please respond with positive comments. Thanks.

Why did they sack Dowie? Compared to others, he wasn't doing that badly, was he? Presumably he pissed someone off on the board.

If the rumours are to be believed it's a power struggle between Dowie and Briatore. Briatore wanting to pick the team and Dowie not being overly happy with that. I can't see it being results - despite only one win in the last five months we're still 9th in the league and down to the last 16 of the league cup. Best position in years!

Think we'll get a foreign manager now - one who's used to the chairman having input.

He had a shot. He's still recovering from a broken leg. Not happy. I do love him though.

That is exactly what happened at Palace with the chairman Simon Jordan, I guess he needs to be somewhere where he has complete control over the squad, although I am not sure many clubs operate like that. He is in a bit of a cycle though, he does well with a lower league or struggling club, like Oldham, then does brilliantly, moves to a bigger job and comes up again management.

I still have a bit of a soft spot for him though! well probably from the neck down ?

I've never met anyone who isn't in a position to take the piss out of big Yan's looks.

I don't think in disruptive circumstances a draw was a bad result.

QPR played Swansea on Tuesday just gone. 0-0. Is that what you mean? Or are you not talking to me? ?

Did you see us against Reading? We did good. One Gareth Ainsworth, there's only one Gareth Ainsworth.
