Vintage look tiara

Sloan-R, 21 August, 2010 at 17:59 Posted on Planning 0 18

I seen a rum pink tiara to go with my dress, I don't mean rum pink pearls I mean rum pink metal (sounds gross but was lovely). The whole look of my gown and jewellery gives a vintage look and it is gorg. Unfortunately I now can't get the rum pink tiara as it's discontinued so i'm on the lookout for something vintage looking but modern at the same time IYKWIM. I love love love this tiara and bracelet but it's out of my price range. Can anyone recommend anywhere that sells things like this style. I'm really not into the "handmade look" as I feel they can be cheap looking but even though this is handmade it's very well done and I just love it for my gown. Any recommendations would be great.

S x

    Hi,

I handcrafted tiaras and jewellery but my style isn't anything like the items you like but have a nosey on my website (www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk) and facebook page (www.facebook.com/lynseysdesigns1) just to see if anything appeals.

This is a bespoke design for another bride who wanted a vintage but modern look as well

I can also use gold toned metals instead of silver.

Flo and Percy is fab for vintage designs so they are worth checking out.

Happy to help if I can. Lynsey x

Just drop me an email if you want any details - ******@**************.**.**. I obviously don't know what your budget is but it may be a bit expensive for a bridesmaid. x

    Hi

I love that tiara and bracelet, such a shame you can't get it now if it goes so well with your dress :-(

My friend just had a gorgeous headband and necklace made for her wedding from a company called With Love From Pearl. I know you said you don't like the hand made look, and hers was hand made, but they look so professional. I contacted them too, as I definitely want a vintage look for my wedding, and the designer said she can make me something bespoke, so you should see if she can make something that you really want. She's already got a really lovely gold headband on her site that you might even like, it's: www.withlovefrompearl.folksy.com

Hope you get what you want, good luck x

Sammy thank you although you need to close your eyes to more sparkly things because you are sorted for your accessories and I'm not getting the blame for you having wobbles ? x

Thanks Lucybee, i'll have a look at those too. I can get the one I want I just hadn't intended on paying loads for it but I'm not really sure what i'll be doing with my hair either. I like these kind of handmade styles as like you said they are so professional and you can tell there's a lot of work put into them it's the i've just thrown this together and it looks like a band with 5 twigs and few crystals on top ones I don't like.

oh I dunno, i know I def want a tiara more than a band, I think ? in the pic of my dress the model doesn't have a tiara on and it looks lovely.

It's like a rose/copper coloured metal and it had pearls on.

Yeah but I've only spent £25 on my accessories and that wasn't technically speaking out of the wedding pot, so wobbles are perfectly acceptable. Ha!

    You're welcome.

Oh, yes I remember you said that now. Some can be very expensive, I guess it's worth it if it's what you really want.

I know the 'hand made' look you are talking about, lol. With Love From Pearl say they do tiaras too, so might be worth asking. Maybe you could go for something quite simple but still vintagey if you know your dress also looks good with nothing as it is on the model.

Hope you get something lovely. x

    Hi

Please feel free to have a look at my website; www.katievaledesigns.com I'd definitely be able to do something to help you & would work within your chosen budget too. If you'd like to email me: ****@****************.*** & I can give you more information.

I'd not be able to copy the tiara exactly, however I'd be able to do you something very similar for you. I also have copper wires too that I could incorporate for you.

    I hoep this is ok.

    Thanks

    Katie

The side designs are very popular at the minute and I have added some less expemsive ones for bridesmaids https://www.3djewellery.co.uk/index_files/side_decorated_headband_bridesmaidor_prom_wear.htm and third from the bottom

https://www.3djewellery.co.uk/index_files/headbands_diamante_bead.htm I can get this in other designs too.

Hi Katie, I seen the copper wire on your site, that looks fairly similar to the rum pink.

I've been doing a bit of looking for you Sloan and may have found wire that would suit your rum pink idea. Email me if you want a picture of the wire.
