VistaPrint for Invitations

babybirdandmouse, 26 February, 2011 at 08:53 Posted on Planning 0 7

Morning All,

Has anybody used Vistaprint for their actual wedding invitations? I've been trying to find quirky invitations but to be honest, I'm getting pretty bored and impatient with it especially as I don't want to spend a fortune on them. I am already stressing about whether or not we can pay for everything come July due to the pay talks at work still not being sorted but I guess I will have to deal with that nearer the time if it's still an issue.

We were also going to have a BBQ at our house following the ceremony as we are not the sit down meal type but we don't think people will drive to ours afterwards to drive back again in the evening for the party so we were thinking of going for a meal at a local restaurant next to the canal. I'm not overly keen on going to a restaurant in my wedding dress but I can't really think of any other ideas unless we don't do anything inbetween! Argh!!

Can't help you with using Vista for invitations, although I know some ladies have done it and been very happy with them. But in regards to the restaurant, would it be an option to hire it out, or at least hire a room? Many couples do this so it won't be really odd you coming in your wedding dress.

I agree with FMJ. Some restaurants have dinning rooms you can hire or they will section of a part of the restaurant for you

Also FMJ thank you for the heads up about the invititations. My sample came yesterday and I LOVE them!!

    Kirstie-

I think that you live not far from me (same town) and if im thinking the same- my friend got married last year and hired the same place near the canal for her reception- it was wonderful!

I had all of my invitations from Vistaprint, for each invitation plus RSVP per family, they came to about 80p each and I love them!

    Hi There,

I have heard lots of good things about vista however if you are looking for things a little more of the hand crafted range with a little bit of a wacky twist I would be more than happy to help. I work with a range of budgets high and low and would love to create something special for you.

If you are interested in some samples please contact me **********@*****.**.** or visit http://www.facebook.com/?sk=lf#!/group.php?gid=165053486844406

I will look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards

    Suzanne

I did mine using the Rank Card selection - they are literally just a piece of card printed double sided - we really didn't want a lot of info on there etc so its mainly a picture of a rose (our theme) and then the address, timings and a reference to out wedding website.

We paid £7 for 50 and are very pleased:
