Hey,
bit of background: we're having quite a relaxed wedding in a converted barn in the middle of the country, in December.
the task: to decide on the wedding cake!

choc brownies:

    I vote the second one.

The convereted barn isn't near East Midlands airport by any chance??

(just I'm getting married in a converted barn too and wondered if it was the same one ? )

I'll have one of each please! Actually, best make that two of each, I'm feeling a bit peckish!!!

I think the cake looks good but from an eating point of view I would rather have brownies!

    Hiya,

How are you? How is your planning coming along?

My vote is for the second one. It looks a lot more spectacular and you can't just walk into a shop and have a bit whereas you can buy brownies. Damn I want some of both now but since I'm just up brownies for breakfast isn't a good idea....

I'd be wary of using scrummyyummy because the only contact details on their website are a hotmail email address and a mobile telephone number.

    hey,
Im good thanks, planning has suddenly started to get more serious with things having to be paid for!! how are things going for you? i get so many compliments on the heart necklace you made me!! ive postponed any more jewellery decisions until i have my dress fitting next month and take some pics!
i know what you mean about the brownies... ive just always had the idea but it seems the general consensus on here is the actual cake... decisions decisions!! xx

I'm good thanks. We saw our venue for the first time yesterday as it wasn't built and it's lovely but I didn't sleep much as they gave us a new brochure and all the prices have gone up so we don't know what to do. It's our own fault for not paying the deposit but we wanted to see the finished product and not just hope we liked it but the venue said prices wouldn't increase and they have so I've emailed them to see what they say. I didn't realise the prices had gone up until 1am and then just kept dreaming about it! ?

Glad the necklace is getting comments and very wise to wait until your fitting. I saw my dress on someone else yesterday and fell back in love with it!

    xx

Purrfect Gems - we had the same thing with our caterers. we couldnt afford the deposit when we booked and then kept putting it off, until they got in touch to tell us the costs had gone up twice! Nightmare! But if the brochure said the prices wouldn't go up you may have some lee-way (sp??!) to at least get a reduction? Fingers crossed for you! keep me posted what happens xx

Well for me going on the theme of the day and I am addicted to Brownies I would vote for the Brownies.
I like the whole informality of them and you can always 'dress them up' if you felt that they needed to be.

    BROWNIES!❤️

Look really gorgeous and quirky. I've been thinking of a tower of scones, but may now change my mind and have saved that site to my faves?
