VW camper...over done???

Moonbeam88, 28 September, 2014 at 23:06 Posted on Planning 0 1

When we first thought about wedding cars we said we wanted a vintage rolls or something similar. Since looking though the VW campervans seem a more practical option due to my 6 bridesmaids. Our church is very close to the venue so a company we've spoken to are happy to do a few round trips to transport the guys then the girls then my dad and I.

The only thing that puts me off is that 3 weddings we've been to this year have had VW campervans and think they are maybe a bit overdone now? And don't particularly reflect us as a couple or my theme...wanted a 1920s vibtage gatsby feel. I do however appreciate they are quite fun and funky!

What are other peoples opinions of them? X

I have to admit they are quite widely used! If it's not in keeping with your theme then look for something more suitable. There are various 1930's Rolls Royce on the wedding rental market.

Hi! we are having VW cars for our wedding - a convertible beetle, stretched beetle and camper, all 1962 (I think). they are getting more and more common, however my H2B loves the old shape beetles - his first two cars were beetles - so it was a no brainer for us to have them. the thing with weddings is, nothing is truely unique, someone somewhere will have done it before! if it really bothers you and doesnt fit your theme then Id stick to your original plan of vintage rolls, but if want something more practical or fun and its in budget then go for it. its your day - have whatever the two of you want and dont worry about what other people have done!
