That's cool, sounds like you've done loads already! Haven't a clue who is actually coming to ours yet as we're just getting the invites sorted with the printers! Should get it done in time though, may just be a short RSVP date. We're booked in for the 27th of October.

Having a church service and then a hotel reception in Hampshire. We've got transport, guestbook, venue, food, photographer, maid of honour's dress, my dress, shoes, favours and fingerprint tree sorted so far! Still feel like I've got a million things to do Smiley laugh I'm rather enjoying it though. Planning on having a sweetie buffet so have got lots of bits and pieces in for that!

Have you got anything abit unusual planned? I accepted your friend request...took me a while to figure out how to do it!

    Sx

Hi, Im also getting married Oct 13th this year. It does feel a bit like a waiting game at the moment but then I look in the diary and think I should be doing more!

Recently I have been trying to sort things out that may get left near the time ie just got some umbrella's incase it rains on the day, hopefully not though, things to decorate tables at wedding breakfast.

Any way good luck with your planning.

I still remember about last Sept when we were sat doing invite choices etc, and now my wedding is a week on Saturday. You'll find that at times it will go painfully slow, especially when there isnt that much to do. Then other times it goes fast. Although the nearer you get to it, the further that you want it to be away!! Do you have anything booked in to look forward to first? Like maybe a weekend away? or show or something?? We focused on xmas most of last year, as we knew when that came around things would go quite quickly! Maybe plan something say for the August bank holiday, even just a small family bbq or something, that is then 3 months away, and as soon as that hits you will be into the run down for your wedding!!

    13th October here too. Yippee!

My BM's aren't sorted and the invitations haven't gone out yet (read that as haven't been made/ordered/designed yet!!) but all deposits are paid for everything unless I've totally forgotten something which is likely!

My H2B has deployed today on Operations so he's now out of the picture until 3 weeks before the wedding. Everyone has said that it's lovely because I can have everything the way I want it but I don't want to do it by myself. I need him to keep me sane. I've got to take the Best Man for his suit fitting because he's currently in Afghanistan and won't be back til June!!

So, October brides, are you stressed yet? Getting nervous? Where are you up to in your plans? What still needs doing?

I've been engaged two months and have two years to wait! I must have heard that from various friends/relatives so many times...so I can completely sympathise!

I can't complain though. Being a bit of a lurker (I think the terminology is right there), I see some people have been waiting/have waited much longer! I am trying not to plan much more than church/venue atm though as I've got such a long time to go! (724 days according to the toolbar at the bottom)

I am also an October 2013 bride!! Been engaged since september and it has gone so quicckly!

Don;t worry too much about seating plans etx as they can change until the day and with people splitting up / falling out / getting new parters / having babies, you won;t know until closer to the time anyway!

Crack on with the big things and the fun things....I'm doing lots of bits myself so I'm glad of the time to get it all done!!!!

This is how I used to feel. We got engaged 2.5 years before our wedding and all the big things (venue, church, photographer, transport) were booked within a few weeks. I couldn't believe how far away the wedding seemed, especially when other people were getting engaged and married in the meantime. Now we're less than 3 months away and I can honestly say it has actually flown by! Especially the last year

    Hi S

We have booked a harpist to play for the ceremony and are having a civil ceremony in a hotel. This is our second marriage. We are having a starlight draped room for our wedding breakfast and evening party. Like you we are having a sweetie table with glass cups filled with all sorts of small packets of sweets. The colour scheme is ivory and midnight blue with a touch of silver. Transport is a vintage car which looks lush as im travelling from home and it will take about twenty minutes to get to the venue so should be a nice ride. My son is giving me away as my parents have both passed away sadly, and my daughter is cheif bridesmaid along with her new baby who by then should be just 10 weeks old!!! ( her baby due end of July) we also have two little bridesmaids aswell. Im very excited about it all and i have to say that sometimes i only have to think about it and i start to smile. We do have four small children coming so we have done a box filled with toys for them to play with, nothing expensive just things they can do such as stickers, dominoes, puzzles etc. I got engaged January 2011 so weve had a while to think about when we wanted to get married and we both liked the autumn so went with that. Was so nice to see you had accepted my friend request, thank you.

Hope all your planning goes well, keep in touch as that would be great. ?
