    Hi ya

Well, i can't get a babysitter for Saturday and it's mine and hubbie's first Valentine off together in 6 years, sodding typical. We wanted to offload the wee man and go and watch the rugby, get drunk and go out for dinner, not very likely now. Am super busy with bookings and designs and consultations (that's why I've not been on much) and should really be working for a consultation for an Indian Wedding on Saturday and putting together some documents for a caterer who is using me now but I've missed hitched, so thought I'd waste some time on here.

I'm desperate for my hair cut, if I pick any more split ends I'm going to go NUTS!

We've just booked a week in Egypt, in March and I can't wait but they seem to be going really cheap at the mo. Just be careful with dates because that's around the Easter holidays!

Bummer to no baby sitter............ thats just rubbish. But maybe you can get him to bed and still enjoy your evening?? Busy means pennies and an Indian wedding sounds fabulously colourful and busy alone!!

Mazzy, you're always thinking of your friends, you kind soul, but you def need YOU time and a holiday sounds great..... somewhere in the UK? or abroad? We are still faffin over the honeymoon so dont ask me for travel advice!!!

We're probably going to Egypt later in the year, so thats out for now! We're looking to go the week before the May bank holiday, so from around the 25th April. Just misses all the expensive bits, which is good!

Although, when is Easter this year?

Oh you're so going to regret asking! I'm having a HIGHLY bad day!!

After writing the car off 8 months ago the finance company are trying to get even more money out of us. From the info I've found we don't have a leg to stand on and have to pay it - we're talking a 4 figure number. we do have the money but its the money i inherited from my grandfather which he put aside to help with our future. So, we'll have none of the money left and nothing to show for it which makes me feel so guilty and like I've let him down.

next: my bank account have cancelled my overdraft without telling me (again!) which means the online shopping payment didn't go through and so we have no food on the way. So i need to call to reinstate it (yet again) but they'll try and charge me (again) for going over the limit and i'm hungry!!

next: I passionatly hate my job. last week an agency found my CV on a job website and put me forward for a really good job, telling me i was in with a good chance and that i was the favorite to get it etc. A week later I haven't heard from them even though their website says its an urgent vacancy and the application closing date is now open. so chances are i'm stuck in my crappy job with a boss i want to kill. emailed them this evening so hoping i get a response but not feeling very confident about it!

Hormones are haywire which isn't helping, keep getting really upset reading the news but somehow keep gravitating towards the BBC news website....

Gah, 'smile' they said 'it could be worse'. So I smiled, and sure enough, things got worse!

Are you glad you asked now!! Hope everyone else is having a better Wednesday!

i am having a girlie night on valentine's - h2b is in glasgow with family sorting his kilts this weekend so me and another friend are poss going to the cinema to see he's just not that into you, or just stick at home eating good food and drinking cheap wine!

ETA - hugs for everyone that needs them ?

They've done an awful lot for me,and besides, its my job to look after them. Just wish I could do more to help.☹️

Where you thinking of for your Honeymoon Nona?

Booo to lack of babysitters. You could always do something nice another night when you're both free and have someone to look after him....maybe go out for a meal etc. Will be nice and quiet on any other night too! Not to mention less extortionate expensive!

Loobs, that really is rubbish. There is a spot on the grumpy bench next to me if you'd like to join? Plenty of room spare.

No consolation, but my Weds has been utterly utterly crappy too......despite the fact that people keep insisting that its been a good day. Frankly, that just makes me even more grumpy.

I did think it was quiet on here - I am actually doing some WP instead of just browsing.

Week so far: was on a course in manc this week had exam today. Think it went ok, will have passed but hoping to beat the others in my team who have already done it. Daft I know but its my competitiveness coming out! Brain hurts from studying, almost looking forward to going back to work tomorrow! och well only 2 days till the weekend so not all bad.

Tomorrow its my birthday so have some cards to open and a big pressie from OH - think it might be Ugg boots, cosy cosy.

Not sure what we are doing for Valentines, not much prob as its my b'day and not got anything planned for either. Got so much else on not really thought about it.

Loobs, you truely have had a crappy day, that's horrible! I hate it when your savings just disappear towards nothing. I could do the whole, well at least you've got each other thing, but sometimes, a bit of luck woul be nice too huh?

I'm super excited about the Indian wedding, plus it's my biggest one to date 350 guests. Can't quite get my head around it yet but need to get my design hat on ready for Saturday so will have to get off here!!

I was really hoping my mum would have come up with the goods, but she's said no on the off chance she'll see her boyfriend on Val Day which is rarer than rocking horse poo! But there we go, we've not done Val Day for 6 years as my hubbie says, when I'm married to him, every day is like a Valentine's Day....much!

Oooo wishing you many happy returns Cheska, hope you have a luverly day!

Mazzy, we are now back in Greece. We have been from Greece to italy, to marrakesh and over to Cuba but research has brought us back to greece. The only annoying thing is flights from scotland are extortionate, looking at almost 800 each to fly there!!!! feckin joke.

I need to get shifting the weight too, i'm trying not to panic about my dress but deep down I am so im about to sit on the carpet with my stretchy rower thingy.....

    Evening

It's always reallllly quiet on here these days.

I have spent a lovely day with my sister and youngest niece. We have talked about the wedding a fair bit. We have decided we are going to go on a mammoth shopping trip in the Easter holidays to finish off a lot of the bits for the wedding!!! Any excuse ?

My Dad is coming over tomorrow and I have seen him for 3 weeks (which is ages for us) because he's had grumpy old man flu.

Valentines on Saturday will be the same old. Having been together 12 years I don't get excited anymore.

Whereabouts in Greece, Nona? Do you want the sandy beaches/doing very very little stuff, or more of the history and culture?

oh we know where we want to go, an island where we had our first holiday together 3 yrs ago...... so OH is looking into accomodation and flights this week. We might have to fly to london from glasgow but hopefully we can do that without have to think of london accomodation as well!! He's had to give in to the costs which a) are more than they were 3 yrs ago and b) reflect the state of the tourism industry c) is our bloomin moneyhoon!! Smiley smile

    Hello

Can I join the grumpy club too please? My boyf broke up with me on Monday. My head hurts; I haven't eaten a proper meal yet; my eyes are big & puffy; I feel a bit sick; and the WKD's are going down nicely.

Am in a small grump as I forgot that my MIL and SIL have to come and stay for 3 weeks while my SIL is in hospital - I am being totally unreasonable, as SIL is disabled and needs MIL with her, so its fine that MIL stays, but 3 weeks is a long time!!! LOL I am such a ? but I'm sure it'll be fine

Am currently cooking celebration dinner for SB and admiring my new purchases for my boudoir shoot - I bought some shoes..... anyone want to see pics?

    Hellloooo.

I've just got back from dress shopping Shopping on my own is so much less stressful than taking others. I've found what I think to be the perfect dress, I didn't cry or have a 'this is the one' moment but don't think I would, I'm far too analytical about that. The longer I wore it the more I loved it, and all the way home I had loads of butterflies and got a bit emotional about the fact my Grandad will never see me in it ? but I'm taking all that as a good sign, I'm so excited! ? (oooh, my first ever bounce, must be a good sign!)

Apart from that life in general is very busy. New job means lots of long hours and evenings working or entertaining clients/on social dos. Have a quiz night with work tomorrow which I'm looking forward to, despite the fact I'm rubbish at them, I love quizzes. It should get better after this week, and I'm hoping so because with that and trying to organise all the things I need to do for the wedding I'm pretty tired most of the time.

Saturday we have H2Bs brother (&Best Man) and his girlfriend (BM) coming over for the day and evening. The girls are spending the day designing invites (she is a stylist, so I am at her mercy!) and the boys are moving all the furniture back downstairs because on Friday we get carpets!! Which after months without due to decorating I think deserves my 2nd ever ?. I can actually use my lounge and dining room (although after nearly a year in the garden I don't think the table's coming back inside the house now). In the evening we'll get a takeaway and do some (colourless!) cocktails.

Cheers ladies. Am going home to see my Mum for a few days. And not sure if I'll be on here as much for a while - I know we weren't engaged, but seeing all you guys happy & bouncing in love might send me do-lally at the moment. I hope I don't offend anyone by that, it's nothing personal. Saying that I might miss it, so may still be on here! Who knows?
