Walking With Dinosaurs Live!!...

ooh la la, 18 June, 2009 at 20:49 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 12

Is anyone else going to see this?

I RRRREEEEEEEEEAALLY want to go, but at £60 - £70, the tickets aren't really student friendly.

I think I've discovered it late though - as I only heard about it tonight on East Midlands News and a lot of the tickets have already sold out.

I'm taking mini majix to see this in August. Those tickets seem really steep though?! I was a bit choked at having to pay £30 quid each for us.

We're going to the echo arena (Liverpool) and at first was a bit gutted to be in the upper tier. However, as i've since read about the scale of the things, I don't think we're likely to 'miss out' ?

I wanted to take my son to see this but he's just turned 3, I think he might find it a bit scary.

I jump at the least little things - loud noises, lighting changes, fast movements....etc....

..........but I have to see this, (even though they say on the website that it'll make you jump and is very noisy!)

Roobs, on the website they say 3 and up....is he a confident, daredevil 3 year old? Do you think he could cope?

It's tempting, but quite a lot for four of us. I remember taking the jnr Jolly's to see the Animatronix (is that a word) T-rex at the natural history museum . It was so lifelike our kids nearly crapped themselves. Our youngest, who was about 5 at the time, stood in front of his sister and said 'don't worry Lulu, I'll protect you' . Bless him because he was preety scared himself. They were a bit young for it then, but would quite like it now.

I'm gutted I can't get any half decent tickets for this. My son was desperate to go but the only tickets I could buy are ones right up in the rafters and I don't want to pay £170 for seats like that.

I'm hoping it will return again.

Roobs - maybe a 3 yr old is a bit young then!

Sare, I heard that the seats at the back are the best, because you get to view the whole stage and all the action, whereas at the front you get a crick (sp?!) in your neck from constantly looking up and you miss the bits in your peripheries. Also, the dinos are so big (lifesize n' all!) that it's better to be further away, so that you can fully marvel at their size compared with the silly man on stage! (in my own opinion.)

We'd so love to go to this but it comes down to cost like others. I don't doubt it's worth every penny but at around £120 for the 3 of us it's just out of range. Wee Braw is absolutely mad for dinosaurs too. I tried to see about tickets just for the 2 of us but there doesn't seem to be any availability.

BWC - That's the thing, the prices are phenomenal! £30 per ticket is ridiculous. I'm also in shock at the fact that programmes are £12 when you get there and that it has cost them £10million to bring to the stage!

On East Midland news they had a baby T-Rex at a shopping center and all the kids were going crazy! I wish I had of been there!

Really? That's interesting, thank you. I may have another look and see what's available still.

Oooo you've reminded me we're going to see this in August, my youngest will be 3 the following week, I hope he'll be ok - he's pretty fearless really. Just checked the receipt and my H bought the tickets last November ?

Gosh - I really am late to this then! I'm surprised that they have any tickets left if they came out then!
