Wearing a veil

nlt1978, 27 November, 2008 at 15:53 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi all,

Wondered if everyone is wearing a veil, I think I am going to for the ceremony and some of the photos and then have it right at the bottom of my head and back for some of the photos so isnt in the way for the wedding breakfast and I dont get really hot

Thanks

I am having a really long one for the ceremony and the photos, then taking it off for the reception as I don't want it damaged. MIL has given me her short one for the reception, so it's all good - plus it's another something borrowed! I just wouldn't feel like a bride without a veil!

I had a lovely long veil too and it was brilliant. I was going to take it out before the meal but I forgot and only realised halfway through that I still had it in!

I didn't think I would like wearing it but I did and it was the icing on the cake!

Here's mine if this helps - I had it over my face at the beginning of the service and it was perfect!

(I'm picking confetti and gravel out of my cleavage BTW! Don't ask!)

To be honest i haven't decided, though i only think it's worth wearing if it can be seen. i've seen some pics in mags with brides wearing it so far down at the back of their head they shouldn't have bothered!

I think having a veil is what makes you really look like a bride, lets face it, its the only chance you'll ever get to wear one!

I didn't plan on having one, but then when I went dress shopping I totally changed my mind - it really does complete your outfit.
