Wearing Engagement ring

Mines on all the time - I only take it off when I'm putting hand cream on.

I wear mine 24/7... Well I haven't for the last week as it's been re-dipped and is staying in the box until the wedding now so it's sparkly and new looking.

I don't always wear mine if I'm at home. Especially in the summer when my fingers are hot. I always wear it when I go out though

I take mine off at night because I might accidentally scratch myself (or him!) with it. I also take it off for sport, just in case it gets damaged.

I take mine off for washing up and cleaning, any activity at school where it's likely to get caked in stuff (like playdough!) and at night time to sleep. The rest of the time it's on though!

I hardly ever wear mine! As I have my own horse and work with them 2 days a week, I am conscious of not damaging it or loosing the diamond out of it whilst going about my daily manual chores! I only really wear it on my day off or if we're going out, and I think once we're married and I have my wedding ring on I will wear my engagement ring even less.

I only wear mine at weekends, I'm not allowed to wear it at work

Wear mine most of the time... Take it off when moisturising but that's about it!

i really shouldn't be wearing it to work but i do anyway...

I take mine off at night so I don't accidentally damage it. I also remove it if I'm doing an activity I feel is risky for damaging it (sometimes I have to hammer things at work so I might take it off for this). I don't like not wearing it but I'd rather not risk damage! I have heard that it is best to never take it off when in public restrooms as many a ring has been forgotten that way no matter how careful you think you are!

I wear it anytime I'm out the house. I take it off as soon as I get home with all my other jewellery, unless we have visitors.

I also take mine of in shower! It's amazing the germs that gather under the ring... Ewwww!

i work in a hospital and had to attend a hand hygiene presentation! Was pretty grim.

I don't wear mine at night, and take it off for washing up, cleaning etc. rest of the time I wear it.

Only take it off when I put moisturiser on cos sometimes it spins and scratches me, other than that it doesn't leave my finger. Other half has told me if it's off for more than 30mins he won't marry me - he's joking of course

I can't wear mine for work so usually just wear it during the school holidays. When I am wearing it I wear it all day and night.

This for me, so the cream doesn't get all stuck in the ring. Same for in the shower if I'm using a body scrub, just to stop bits getting caught.

I never take mine off, I probably should when I do washing up etc though....

I take mine off when I get home in an evening, doing messy chores/cleaning, and at night. I only wear it when I'm out of the house or we have guests round. It'll probably be the same with my wedding ring as well.

I take mine off for showering/doing dishes but other than that it's on all of the time including at night. I waited so long for it and love it so much that I don't like taking it off haha! x

Ahh thanks for the help! Il probably take it off for the shower and washing up now but I love wearing it in bed. Makes me smile in the morning when I wake up and see it ....*geek*

I wear mine all the time, only take it off to shower, moisturise and clean out the chickens!

I wear mine all the time;H2B specifically bought a flat one where the diamonds are set so they're flush with the ring if that makes sense. I have horses and was convinced I'd lose the stone out of a traditional style one getting it caught so he got one where that wouldn't be a problem. Means I don't really worry about taking it off as can't catch it on anything!

I did have to put it on the other hand for a few weeks after I broke a metacarpal though!

I'm the same ... I also like to think that when I'm washing up, the fairy liquid makes it look all shiny and new! Mine is platinum so I figured it should be ok! So far so good and I've been wearing it for almost 1 year!

I only sometimes take mine off when washing up. With platinum rings (mine is too) letting it soak in hot water and a lil fairy liquid does shine it up nicely, think I read somewhere it was actually recommended to clean it this way weekly

Never ever comes off!! I mean to take it off when swimming but I always forget. I'd feel lost without my ring on now plus why WOULDNT you wear it??

I only wear mine during the day, I take it off to shower, wash up etc, and when I go to bed. I would love to wear it 24/7 but it moves around enough when I wash my hands!

I dont have one... well I have a little vintage ring which I bought after we started officially planning (had a dream about a vintage ring and then found the exact same ring later that week being sold by a little old lady) but I dont wear it, it feels to weird as my OH didn't actually buy it so it feels like jumping the gun and being a bit psycho bunny boiler lol

he keeps saying hes going to propose and I just have to wait with a cheeky wink but its driving me mad as I dont want to tell people before hand because then it doesn't sound real and I dont want dozens of the 'but he didn't propose you must be a mental, pushy girlfriend' conversations even though he is planning as much as me

Sweaty fingers? Potential damage? Scratching? Weird skin dints or tan lines? There are loads of reasons!

I take mine off when I go to bed and when I shower, bath, wash up, clean etc. I always wear it out though. X
