Weather Pattern

Does anyone know of a website where you can look up and find out what the weather has been like on a specific date over the last however many years?

I used Met office. We are getting married in August so I entered August 2010, August 2009 etc in the search box and it comes up giving a run down of the weather for that month, usually grouped by weeks for example.

At least snow is pretty though, I think wind and rain would be the worst combination of weather for a weding day.

Having recently watched a program on how they predict weather I really don't think its something that can be that forecast.

Statiscally it actually rains more at the weekeds because of a pattern which is predictable due to the patterns of pollution from everyone driving to work in the week.

Other localised things can effect the weather like the heat and pollution produced

So best not to worry about it.

I had rain, snow and hail on my wedding day and that was at the end of April. Weekend before was a heatwave. Weather is so unpredictable. Hope your day turns out gorgeous x

    Hi,

You can look up statistics and dates at the Met Office, but like someone mentioned there are no guarantees. I'm a weather forecaster and it's almost impossible to accurately predict more than a week ahead. However the Met Office do have a free phone line you can call to get general weather information for the next week or so. If you want something more personalised (from professional forecasters with the most up to date information) you have to pay! Hope that helps!

Yes, it's called Weather Underground and you search for a certain town and it has a button / area at the bottom where it says "Historical data" or "Stats for this date", something like that...

    http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/hdfForecast?query=Leeds%2C+United+Kingdom

    OR:

The Met Office - Historic station data:
