Thanks to all those who replied to this thread originally and who took the time and trouble to email me about their thoughts on my site. You all said much the same thing actually - some were much more technical than others but ultimately they all helped me make my decision....
I'm getting it done professionally. Got myself a great deal (all in pkg for logo design, website from scratch, all marketing stuff) and to be honest I was getting myself really quite 'argh' about the website and ignoring the fact I have a HUGE pile of "items" to make up for my business 'stock' for wedding fayres etc!
However, your comments will not go unused - they will allow me to approach the designer with some really good clear thoughts on how it should look/read etc, so they're all still very very very gratefully received!
