Weddding Twins 1st Nov ! how are you !

corrie, 8 July, 2008 at 20:31 Posted on Planning 0 637

Hello wedding twins and everyone else ! I've not been on here for aaaggggesss ! not since they made the change to the format and I got annoyed with it !

Just wanted to know how everyone is and how all the plans etc are going. I've got less than 4 months to go now arrrgggghhhh ! Its all going very smoothly - apart from H2B insistence that it ages away and me not being able to loose the last 1/2 a stone I promised the shop lady I would when I ordered a smaller dress. And a few family issues but I won't mention them again as it causes too much reaction in some people !

Helloooo date twin! We're pretty much organised at this end - just waiting to pay things off as the cash comes in! Most things are planned tho, even if only in my head! I've supposedly started my fitness and beauty plan but it keeps slipping... big time!!

Hey Corrie good to see you back on here, I was off for a while as well but back now that I need to get cracking. I have 3 months 11 Days and due to all those problems we had with the church would you believe I have no cars and no flowers sorted - I am not panicking, no really I am not panicking ?

Your dress must have arrived in now as well too? Do you have a date for your first fitting? Are you getting your cars through them too?

    Hi Girls

I've got a make up trial this Saturday with Bobbi Brown so I'll be sure to post some pics!

Just waiting for my dress to come in now - think it will be some time in August.

I'm off to look at my chair covers next Saturday - the lady is doing a mock up of my tables for me so I can see how they'll look!

Also feeling abit panicky as I had my graduation yesterday and it was really nerve wracking - god knows what I'll be like in a packed church saying my vows ?

It's a pity Donna is a 1st November girl as she's getting married just round the corner from me so I could have popped along and watched her come out of the church!

Its all getting a bit real now. I have my hair trial and first fitting of dress on the second weekend of August as my CB is coming up from down south!

Make sure you post some pics! I haven't got any wedding related pics of me at all yet! Have you got your gift list sorted yet?

Yeah ! everyone is here !

I am quite well sorted now I think. Not much else to do apart from confirm things. My dress came v quickly in about 6 weeks so has been sat in the shop for aggggesss ! first fitting is 21st Sept so thats still 2 months away.

Doing the invites next week so we can send or take them round to people the next few weeks - what are you others doing about the invites ?are my timings about right do you think ?

Can't belive we are in the top 700 now. I'm not excited thou its v strange not sure what will make me start - maybe the dress fitting or getting some invite replies back.

Masal - got the cars cheap thru a friend of a friend as ones in the shop seemed a bit pricey !

yello date twin!! I sent my invites a few weeks ago - bit early but most of our guests are travelling from the other end of the country or abroad so wanted to give them plenty of time for booking flights and hotels!

Think my timings are prob ok then. All the 'day people' know anyway so its just a formality.

I have my friend (with the neatest handwriting !) all booked for an evening of writing them out.

Maybe I can walk round to deliver them all and loose some weight in the process !

Heh heh, I made mine so I spent a bored day at work typing names onto the template and hitting print... My hand writing is waaaay to messy - my school english teacher said it looked like a spider had jumped in a pot of ink and line danced across the page!

Kath-funny I was thinking the same about having a nosey at you going into the church too! I think we`ll probably have other stuff to do on that day though!!! congrats on your graduation BTW!

I keep thinking about all the farty little bits that I cant be bothered doing like sorting out the booze, who is going to do the bar etc. keep putting it off.

have you all put your bans or whatever its called in (or out) yet?

Hello twinnies/triplets/quads - whatever we are now! How exciting - our very own thread!

I sent my invites last week, and have already had some replies back - very exciting! The reason I sent them so early is because we have to confirm final numbers to the venue very early (mid September) and as I am a teacher, I knew if I gave the invites to my teacher friends on 1st September they would have no time to respond. Thought I may aswell send them all out at once as I had them ready.

I have two meetings with florists lined up, and bridesmaid dresses are ready to collect (got the phone call yesterday!). We picked up our rings on Saturday, and after lots of trying on, they are now in our safe!

We are having a civil ceremony, but havent decided on who/what readings etc. I also need to book trials with make up and hair ladies, although I have booked them.

I don't know about you lot, but I was in a real planning lull this time last month, and now it is almost 3 months away I am pooping myself!

    Pooping here too!!!!! ?

On the urgent list for this weekend are -

    - information sheet

    - RSVP cards

    - Gift List options

Have to get these all organised by 1st week in Aug as my Mum is coming up from 'darn sarf' to do invites with me (she's made them all and done the inserts I just have to write them!) She's printing everything out at home too so I have to email stuff to her early so she can bring everything up.

How are the health and fitness regimes going? I have 2 lbs to go until I have lost a stone....however I need to try and keep up the enthusiasm for the exercise - can't be arsed this week.....

I love the fact that our merry band is growing! Yeay the Nov 1st crew!

Sh*t I was hoping youd forgotten about the fitness/health regime...

well done on the weight loss!! I havent been back to ww since before glasto (and I`m paying for it monthly what a waste of money). def going back next week. have been to the gym twice though-found this great new machine called a treadclimber-burns 500 cals in 40 mins and can watch crap TV at the same time!

    This weekend, I aim to:

    send out invites

try and get bar hire sorted

`sample` some wines-all in the name of research

    try and find a band

talking of gift lists, I went to john lewis last weekend and they said it was too early to choose and that I need to go back in August! have you done yours yet?

Interesting you should say that as I was going to go in there tomorrow to find out. But surely we need to have the cards and gift list number for when the invites go out?

I did our gift list with www.nearlymarried.com and its all done - means we could pick stuff from lots of different stores!!

Heath and fitness is going.... erm.... yeah anyway!! I blame H2B - he has had tooth ache for almost two weeks (and has been to the dentist 3 times) so he tosses and turns all night keeping me awake so I can't be arsed to do any exercise - too tired!! I played on the balance board for most of 'The Charlotte Church show' last night. Was aiming to do pilates 3 times a week but only done it once this week and the weather has been so pants that my climbing and bike gear are just collecting dust!! Lots of exercise tomorrow then off to watch the scottish motorbike championships on sunday (3 hours sat on the bike will be good for leg and stomach muscles so its almost exercise!!)

I wrote a very detailed to do list yesterday to scare myself into doing stuff - H2Bs kilt has arrived now which makes it a bit easier as I can plan round the colours in the tartan a bit more! Doing best man outfit and rings next, then decorations etc when CBM (who is very arty!) is up next month...

You need to phone them (or I suppose you could go in too but there is a sale on and it was chaos lsat week)

I registered about 2 days after OH proposed!!they then sent me a load of blank inserts which you put the gift list number on, to go in the invites. They will only open up the list 6 weeks before the wedding and it stays open for about a month after I think.

Ah cool. Will check 'nearlymarried.com' too however we're hoping that we get mostly vouchers as our tiny flat won't accommodate lots of boxes and new Denby china!

Another puls for JL is that not all the folk attending the wedding have internet access so having a solely online list will be difficult for some of our relies! All these things you have to think about eh?!

free to set up. Only charges are 8% on vouchers (you can choose whether you pay that or the guests do - we've done half and half) or £3 on actualy items, which is about what people would spend on wrapping paper and a card anyway! And it comes with a wedding website. I can PM you the details to log into ours and have a look if you like...

penguin - there is a phone number to call and buy something over the phone/pay by cheque for the older relatives!

For all weddings you need to register it. So for RC and other types you go to the town hall etc. In simple terms CofE regsiter it for you and announce the Banns (intention to marry) in the church. Other that are not CofE wedding have a notice put up in the town hall instead. Ask the priest what to do if you are unsure. I'm sure you have done what you need to already thou
