wedding backdrop-urgent help needed!

SunnyBlueCakes105, 20 July, 2014 at 14:57 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi all,

im a forum newbie but i am rapidly descending into panic! I am getting married in early sept and have only just though about needing a wedding backdrop for our top table-for some reason i didnt notice the rather plain wall behind where the top table will be and how it will look in photos! the venue is unable to help with this, has anyone used any wedding decore/backdrop companies? The budget is fast running out so something relatively cheap would be ideal-i just want something rather cheap and simple. White draping is what im looking for and also a way to cover the stage if that makes sense.

thanks for any help and advice you could give

How about making some paper rosettes in your colour scheme? Tutorial here, and can be done very cheaply (or free, if you can nip around a few DIY shops and get a selection of wallpaper samples ? )

I've done this, there's a photo in this thread

I had planned on just sticking them to the wall or on a bit of white card but I then managed to get some plasticy card stuff from Accessorize's window display when they changed it which fits my theme perfectly. I've got some of the Command velcro strips that are hopefully going to hold it up on the wall!

I recommend you ask your photographer for advice. Sometimes a plain wall can be the perfect backdrop. Your photographer may know the venue or be able to look at photos of it online for you.

I think you need advice from a photographers point of view before you spend any cash on this.
