Wedding breakfast playlist

BirkdaleBride, 25 August, 2014 at 17:30 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi ladies,

Just compiling a playlist for the wedding breakfast and wondered if you could give me some suggestions?

Nothing too loud or dancey as that music will be played in the evening.

What sort of things would you like to hear?

Thanks,

Leah x

I'm also wondering about this. I have no idea!

My OH and I really like the Greek bouzouki music we hear in our fave Greek restaurant....but neither of us are Greek!

Would it be wierd to play it? (especially as my ex is actually Greek!)

We are going to play golden oldies from the 50s and 60s so girl groups like the Dixie Cups and the Ronettes, cover versions of easy-listening classics by Michael buble etc. Also will include some smooth tunes by Sam Cooke, Barry White and Al Green.

I've gone for mostly easy listening, fairly quiet and slow-ish songs. Nothing dancey really, just to have background noise more than anything else. I have also included a few songs that were for example other people's first dances and things like that, as we won't have much slow music at all apart from the first dance, once the evening reception starts, but I thought it would be nice for them to hear 'their' songs too.
