Wedding Cake Flash

Havent decided on cake yet but these are some ideas ive been collecting

At the moment we think we're haviing something like this, but square, green and blue dots and with ribbon at the base of each layer. MIL2B is making it, we're lucky she used to cater for weddings!

They look great, my problem seems to be there's too much choice out there.

My colours are navy blue and ivory.

I'm making cupcakes for mine and still deciding how to decorate them, probably something really simple. Will have a mixture of small and large cupcakes and the top tire as a small cake so we have something to cut for the photos... I'm thinking carrot cake and cream cheese icing but not sure how the icing will keep (making the night before). Haven't got any decoration inspiration just yet...

As you can see my choice is varied there are so many to choose from but i know we won't go for a traditional cake as neither of us like fruit cake so it will be some kind of funky chocolate, fudge, strawberry combination......

This is ours, except it will be three tiers, bottom tier is fruit, the middle and top will be lime/coconut and malibu flavoured ? It tastes amazing !

It's also going to be brushed with some shimmery stuff ?!?! so it will sparkle as well ....Flowers and sparkley stuff seem to be have become the theme of my wedding ?

My father in law made ours! Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate was his brief.

I'm sure people are bored of seeing mine by now, but here it is. The brief we gave our cake maker was fun, bright and un-weddingy. The cupcakes were a mixture of choc chip, double choc chip, blueberry and vanilla/raspberry.

Here's mine but big ribbon is brown velvet, little ribbon is orange with ivory poka dots and instead of apples there shall be oranges......hopefully :o)

Cbear I never get bored of your cake, it really was fab! I was torn between cup cakes but we settled on this one, we loved it, choclate inside too!

This was our cake, our theme was Navy Blue and Ivory with accents of pink lol...hence the pink flowers and hearts..I loved it! but only got a tiny piece..grr to greedy guests! happy cake hunting!

Here is mine............I'm getting married in a castle hence the castle cake, not everybody's taste but I love it! The colour will be silver with H2B tartan round the bottom of each tier!

Thanks, can finally order it next month and then try a few tasters to see what flavours we want ?
