One question for you tho, have you let your OH see it? I only ask because the lady that is making ours wants pictures of my dress etc but if she makes it the same my OH is going to have an idea of what i'm wearing before the day??

Yeah he has seen it and while, yes it is meant to look like my dress, I don't think it will spoil the surprise as, afterall, it's a clay model.

I hadn't thought of that! i have ordered one of those too. I think i will wait and see how similar i think it looks first. Mind you i have got to find a dress yet!

Hehe - I think it would sink through the cake - it really is huge! We are planning on having it next to the cake or with the guestbook.

It's from a company called Wedding Topper Workshop but I bought it on eBay.

Yay thats fab! We've got a friend of the lady who is doing our cake (a friend) making us one like that, and we won't get to see it until the big day when she's set it up, so H2B won't be seeing it.

I wouldn't worry about him seeing it beforehand though - the dresses generally have so much detail on them that however talented the artist is they cannot replicate it in clay!

Its Fab..!! and a great one too... I saw her work on ebay a few months ago, thought they were the best ones around and very, very good price!!, so I've bought and ordered one from them too a few months ago but havent yet sent over the details/photos etc.!

but I'm doing this as a surprise from OH and not going to show him till its on the cheese cake.

Can I ask roughly how tall it is and what the diameter is?? is it heavy??
